IT Operations and Service Management\nManage daily IT infrastructure and support operations, including servers, networks, firewalls, storage, backup systems, cloud services, endpoints, and business applications.\n\nMonitor system availability, performance, capacity, and security to ensure reliable IT services.\n\nCoordinate incident resolution and ensure critical issues are escalated and resolved within agreed service levels.\n\nReview recurring incidents and implement preventive and permanent corrective actions.\n\nMaintain IT operational procedures, escalation processes, support documentation, and technical records.\n\nSupport business operations across headquarters, offices, warehouses, branches, and remote locations.\n\nCoordinate planned maintenance activities and minimise operational disruption.\n\n2. Team Supervision and Coordination\nSupervise and guide infrastructure, network, system administration, and service desk personnel.\n\nAssign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure timely completion of support requests and projects.\n\nCoach team members and identify technical training and development needs.\n\nEnsure sufficient support coverage during leave, maintenance activities, and critical incidents.\n\nPromote effective communication and cooperation within the IT team and with business departments.\n\nMonitor team performance and provide regular operational updates to management.\n\n3. Infrastructure and Network Management\nSupport the administration of physical and virtual servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, databases, and cloud platforms.\n\nOversee LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet connectivity, firewalls, and site-to-site connections.\n\nCoordinate server, network, and security equipment upgrades, replacements, and maintenance.\n\nEnsure infrastructure configurations follow approved standards, security requirements, and technical baselines.\n\nMonitor infrastructure utilisation and recommend capacity upgrades where necessary.\n\nMaintain network diagrams, system architecture documentation, and configuration records.\n\nSupport new office, warehouse, and branch setup activities.\n\n4. Information Security and Compliance\nEnsure IT operations comply with company policies, audit requirements, and security standards.\n\nSupport user access reviews, privileged access controls, password policies, and account management.\n\nEnsure system, security, and administrative logs are enabled, retained, and reviewed.\n\nAssist with internal and external audits by preparing evidence, reports, and remediation plans.\n\nCoordinate security patching, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint protection activities.\n\nSupport incident response involving malware, unauthorised access, data exposure, or service disruption.\n\nEnsure changes to critical systems are properly authorised, tested, and documented.\n\n5. Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity\nEnsure scheduled backups are completed successfully and backup failures are investigated promptly.\n\nConduct regular backup restoration and disaster recovery tests.\n\nMaintain disaster recovery procedures, system recovery priorities, and emergency contact lists.\n\nSupport business continuity planning and infrastructure redundancy improvements.\n\nEnsure critical systems have appropriate Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).\n\nCoordinate recovery activities during major system or infrastructure outages.\n\n6. Project and Change Management\nSupport infrastructure, security, migration, and technology implementation projects.\n\nPrepare project plans, implementation schedules, risk assessments, and technical documentation.\n\nCoordinate project activities with users, vendors, and relevant stakeholders.\n\nEnsure system changes are properly tested, approved, documented, and communicated.\n\nConduct post-implementation reviews and follow up on outstanding issues.\n\nTrack project risks, timelines, costs, and deliverables.\n\nEscalate project delays, resource constraints, and technical risks to management.\n\n7. Vendor, Procurement and Asset Management\nCoordinate third-party vendors for maintenance, troubleshooting, procurement, and project implementation.\n\nReview vendor performance, service reports, quotations, and support agreements.\n\nAssist with IT budgeting, cost monitoring, and technology renewal planning.\n\nMaintain accurate IT asset, warranty, licensing, and contract records.\n\nEnsure equipment is properly assigned, tracked, maintained, and disposed of.\n\nSupport technical evaluation of products, solutions, and vendor proposals.\n\nMonitor service contract expiry dates and renewal requirements.\n\n8. Reporting and Documentation\nPrepare regular reports on incidents, service levels, system availability, security risks, projects, and operational performance.\n\nMaintain standard operating procedures, system inventories, network diagrams, and configuration records.\n\nPrepare root cause analysis reports for major incidents.\n\nHighlight operational risks, resource constraints, and improvement recommendations to management.\n\nEnsure documentation is updated following system changes, project implementation, and incident resolution.\n\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\nMinimum 5-8 years of relevant IT infrastructure, network, system administration, or IT operations experience.\n\nAt least 2 years of experience supervising an IT technical or support team.\n\nExperience supporting multi-site business operations is preferred.\n\nExperience in retail, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or corporate environments is an advantage.\n\nExperience coordinating vendors, infrastructure projects, and critical incident recovery is preferred.\n\nTechnical Knowledge\nCandidates should have practical knowledge in several of the following areas:\nMicrosoft Windows Server and Active Directory.\n\nDNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management.\n\nVirtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or Proxmox.\n\nFirewalls, VPN, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.\n\nMicrosoft SQL Server or other database platforms.\n\nBackup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.\n\nGoogle Workspace, Microsoft 365, or cloud administration.\n\nEndpoint management, antivirus, and patch-management platforms.\n\nIT service management, incident management, and change management.\n\nCybersecurity controls, vulnerability management, and audit compliance.\n\nLinux administration.\n\nPublic cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.\n\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\n\nGood leadership and team coordination skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple incidents, projects, and priorities.\n\nStrong documentation and reporting skills.\n\nGood communication skills with technical teams, vendors, users, Requirements\nMust possess a valid driving licence and own reliable transportation.\n\nMust be willing and able to travel to company offices, warehouses, branches, project sites, and other business locations as required.\n\nMust be willing to travel within Malaysia and internationally for system implementation, infrastructure projects, technical support, audits, vendor coordination, and other business requirements.\n\nMust be able to provide on-site support outside the normal work location when operational needs arise.\n\nMust be willing to provide after-hours escalation support for critical incidents, scheduled maintenance, and emergency recovery activities when required.\n\nMust hold a valid passport or be eligible to travel internationally when required by the
