This role owns the vision, framework, and roadmap for a centralized integration ecosystem that will allow new and legacy applications to onboard quickly, consistently, and at scale.\nThis is a highly visible, build from scratch role. The successful candidate will define and Stand up a working API strategy within six months of hire, then continue to mature and scale it across the organization. The role leads a focused team based in Baroda and works closely with the Product Manager for Partner Connectivity to keep the new API platform and partner integration efforts aligned.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and own the API strategy for the new API platform, including standards, governance, versioning, security, and documentation practices\n\nBuild a scalable framework for onboarding both new applications and legacy applications into a centralized integration ecosystem\n\nDeliver a functioning, adopted API strategy within six months of hire, with clear milestones along the way\n\nLead and grow a focused product team based in Baroda, setting priorities and providing day to day direction\n\nPartner closely with the Product Manager for Partner Connectivity to align the new platform's roadmap with partner integration needs and priorities\n\nPartner with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to define technical requirements and integration patterns\n\nAssess the current landscape of legacy systems and applications to determine onboarding sequencing and migration approach\n\nDefine and track success metrics for API adoption, onboarding speed, and integration reliability\n\nCreate and maintain roadmap, backlog, and prioritization for the API strategy program\n\nWork cross functionally with product, engineering, security, and business stakeholders to align on requirements and tradeoffs\n\nCommunicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership on a regular cadence\n\nEvaluate and recommend API management tooling, standards, and best practices\n\nAct as the subject matter expert on integration strategy, mentoring other product and technical staff as the program grows\n\nSkills:\n7+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of a technical or platform level initiative\n\nExperience building or scaling an API strategy, integration platform, or similar centralized technical framework\n\nStrong understanding of API design principles, integration patterns, and modern API management practices (REST, webhooks, authentication/authorization, versioning, etc.)\n\nExperience working with both greenfield and legacy systems, including planning for migration or modernization\n\nTrack record of delivering complex, cross functional initiatives against defined timelines\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering and business leaders\n\nStrong analytical and prioritization skills, comfortable operating with ambiguity in a build phase\n\nExperience leading a product or technical team, ideally across distributed or global locations\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in SaaS, Real estate technology, or enterprise software environments\n\nFamiliarity with API management platforms, particularly Azure API Management (APIM) and Kong\n\nExperience with iPaaS or integration platform selection and implementation\n\nExperience working with distributed teams in India, particularly Baroda or nearby hubs\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nA working, documented API strategy and onboarding framework in place within six months of hire\n\nA clear, repeatable process for onboarding both new and legacy applications into the integration ecosystem\n\nMeasurable improvement in onboarding speed and consistency across application teams\n\nStrong cross functional alignment and adoption of the new framework\n\nEducation: \nBachelor’s/master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related area\n\nBenefits:\nHybrid working arrangements - 3 days in office in a week\n\n6x Flexi any days: knock 2.5 hours off your day on a any day.\n\nMedical insurance coverage for extended family members.\n\nEngaging, fun & inclusive culture: check out the MRI Software APAC Insta feed and stories!\n\nAbout Us\nFrom the day we opened our doors, MRI Software has built flexible, game-changing real estate software that powers thriving communities and helps make the world a better place to live, work and play.
