The Maintenance Planner will facilitate Opportunity-based work by having materials kitted and tasks available for short or no-notice shutdowns of individual equipment or rooms.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for planning maintenance activities supporting Production and associated areas\nRegular analysis of backlog relative to available resources\nEnsure timely, efficient, and quality service to all internal beneficiaries of Maintenance\nHelp Operations balance their need for daily output with their need of equipment reliability through proactive maintenance\nFamiliar with CMMS system and how it works within the plant\nCreate and maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks list for each asset\nEffectively manage the CMMS work order backlog to create schedules\nMaintain materials and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion\nCreate recommended critical spare parts lists and stocking quantities for Maintenance Parts\nWork with plant operations team, production schedulers, and maintenance supervisors to schedule all maintenance work\nLead daily and weekly PM scheduling meetings\nCoordinate all outside services such as forklift repair, AC repair, etc.\nIncorporate safety into all aspects of the position\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITY PROFILE\nMinimum Education\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nUndergraduate degree desired\nOSHA Powered Industrial equipment training and pass associated tests, if required\nMinimum Experience\n1 year of experience in a food manufacturing facility\n1 year of experience in purchasing or similar duties\n1 year of experience in interacting with customers / Customer service\nForklift certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment, if required\nMinimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nInfluential leadership, decision making, and efficient management skills\nBusiness-minded, safety and quality-oriented\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively\nWorking knowledge of computer software tools\nMaintenance background with exposure to a wide variety of maintenance areas\nCapable of working with vendors and holding them accountable\nReliable and self-motivated\nWillingness to work various hours and days as necessary\nAbility to read and interpret equipment and plant prints, and mechanical and electrical drawings\nKnowledgeable in warehouse concepts, spare parts inventory, and procurement procedures\nUnderstanding of periodic maintenance schedules and procedures to increase equipment lifespan\nMSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
