This while adhering to safety procedures and/or protocols and establishedGood Manufacturing Processes to ensure that product integrity and customers’ specifications are preserved.The Maintenance Technician will utilizean electronic CMMS system to document work orders for work performed.\nKey Accountabilities/Primary Duties & Responsibilities \nPerformsroutine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actionssuch as lubrication of shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery.\n\nAll work will utilizean electronic CMMS system using a mobile device to document work performed\n\nTroubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment such as: motors, pneumatics, electronic boards, PLC’s, touch screens, displays, contactors, conveyors, blending, scaling, filling, cartoningcoding/printing, electrical, compressed air, vacuum hydraulic and bulk-filling systemsusing appropriate tools, precision measuring instruments, or electrical or electronic testing devices.\n\nElectricity systems related to production and plant support equipment ranging from single phase to three phase equipment along with voltages ranging from 5VDC - 480 VAC\n\nElectrical wiring, relay logic, controland safety circuits\n\nUses checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.\n\nTeardown and rebuildsgearboxes, clutches, actuators, and other assembles related to equipment repairs\n\nRecords and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts\n\nThoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary\n\nProficient in using all hand tools, power tools, shop equipment such as: drill press, surface grinders, torch, plasma cutter, pipe threader, breaks, presses, calipers, micrometers, other measuring instruments, and test equipment\n\nFabricatesparts, guarding, and parts modifications for equipment repairs and improvements\n\nWeldsdifferent grades of metal for repairs and fabrication using different plant welding techniques (i.e.MIG, TIG, and Arc)\n\nTroubleshoots HVACsystems as needed\n\nFollowsall company policies including but not limited to general manufacturing and safety practices\n\nThis position has responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within their influence. The associate in this job has the responsibility to report, in a timely manner, Food Safety and Quality problems to personnel with authority to initiateaction on those problems\n\nTrain junior or new technicians on equipment, procedures and troubleshooting practices\n\nTrainsoperators or other support staff in best practices, operation, and setup of equipment.\n\nCompletes Preventativemaintenance, product changeovers, corrective and breakdown maintenance as requested.\n\nPerform any other duties as assigned\n\nM inimum Qualifications (education, skills, knowledge, and abilities)\nEntry Level and Above\nAbility to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reportsand correspondence\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance manuals\n\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequentlyor through the duration of the shift\n\nRequired to reach with hands and arms,climb,or maintainbalance\n\nAbility to use ladders and/or climb stairs\n\nHave appropriate eye, handand foot coordination to properly execute tasks\n\nPCor tablet competency, and ability to use handheld devices\n\nAbility to lift upto50 pounds regularly; and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 poundswith or without assistance\n\nMinimum of High School Diplomarequired\n\nA minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial settingrequired.Preferablyinthefood manufacturingindustry\n\nMid-Level and Above\n2 - 6 years of experience in an industrial setting, in similar role required,preferably in the food manufacturing industry\n\n2-year technical or community college degree preferred\n\nExperience with electrical controls\n\nExperience in maintainingand troubleshooting electrical and electronic experience preferred\n\nBasic to intermediate knowledge of PLC troubleshooting preferred\n\nAdvanced Level\n7 years of experience in an industrial setting, in similar role required. Preferably in the food industry\n\n2-year AAS degree preferred\n\nAdvanced skills with troubleshooting PLC’spreferred\n\nElectrician’s license preferred\n\nWelding experience/certificationpreferred\n\nMetal fabrication experience preferred\n\nMSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
