Your experience culminates in a presentation to senior leadership highlighting your results and recommendations.\nWhy Choose MSI Express?\nWork on projects that make an impact\nTackle meaningful business challenges\nEngage with cross-functional teams\nLearn from business leaders\nDevelop leadership skills\nAbout the Role:\nAs a Production Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:\nManufacturing Operations Support: Assist production teams in monitoring daily manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met.\nContinuous Improvement Projects: Support initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving efficiencies, and optimizing production processes.\nPerformance Monitoring: Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and process bottlenecks.\nStandard Work Development: Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support operational goals.\nWhat we look for in a Production Intern:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nInterest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nCurrently enrolled in an Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related academic program.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.\nWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements\nWork is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.\nFrequent exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial conditions.\nMust follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.\nAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.\nMust be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.\nFrequent use of computers and standard office equipment.\nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\nPeriodic travel may be required to other MSI Express locations and end-of-internship events.\nMSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
