It is an opportunity to build real expertise in a respected specialist market.\nAbout the role\nAs Claims Handler Hull, you will manage a portfolio of hull-related claims from first notification through to resolution. You will work closely with underwriters, brokers, external experts, surveyors, and clients to assess claims, review technical information, and make well-considered decisions.\nThe portfolio can include:\nComplex hull claims\nInland hull vessels(yachts)\nCranes, heavy machinery, and specialist land-based equipment\nHigh-value and non-standard claims\nCases where judgement and investigation are just as important as process\nDepending on your level of experience, the role can offer increasing exposure and responsibility over time.\nWhy this team\nYou will be joining a highly experienced specialist claims team with more than 150 years of combined expertise. hull-related claims end-to-end\nHandling technically complex and high-value cases\nReviewing claim circumstances, policy coverage, documentation, and expert input\nWorking closely with brokers, underwriters, surveyors, and external specialists\nApplying judgement to claims that may not always have a straightforward answer\nBuilding trusted relationships internally and externally\nContributing to a collaborative, knowledgeable, and specialist claims environment\nWhat we are looking for\nWe are open to different backgrounds, but you will typically bring:\nAround 3+ years’ experience in marine, hull, transport, cargo, or related claims\nA genuine interest in developing deeper technical expertise\nStrong analytical thinking and attention to detail\nThe confidence to handle complexity, or the ambition to grow into it\nA collaborative and professional approach\nCuriosity, ownership, and the ability to think beyond standard process\nExperience in cargo or a
