Backed up by one of the largest teams of underwriters and claims handlers in Europe we provide the service, knowledge and expertise that will help our clients navigate the market.\nWe have a team of approximately 220 specialist staff with one of the broadest product ranges on offer across our markets (8 main product lines). We are known for our market leading knowledge-based UW, Claims, Risk advise & training. Client focus is key\nDimensions\nSupporting the Assistant Underwriting Manager in the reporting and monitoring activities of MSIG Specialty Marine across its various offices (Netherlands, Belgium, France, UK, Germany and Singapore). The responsibility areas include performance monitoring, business planning, exposure management & data entry, reserving and the provision of management information and market analysis. In this role you will be exposed to numerous stakeholders and perform thoughtful analysis contributing to a valuable portfolio.\nKey Result Areas\nPortfolio and Performance Monitoring\nResponsible for supporting the Assistant Underwriting Manager in the delivery of reserving and portfolio monitoring & analysis, whether on a regional, country or product basis. Support includes:\nPreparation of performance & monitoring reports and analysis\n\nPeriodic monitoring of underwriting performance\n\nCo-ordination of results and feeding these into reporting tools\n\nCo-ordination and production of information stemming from ad-hoc queries to support the underwriters as required\n\nData quality reporting.\n\nBusiness Planning\nSupport the Assistant Underwriting Manager in the creation and delivery of the business plan. This includes:\nProcess coordination of business planning\n\nPreparation of supporting reports for discussions\n\nMonitoring of performance (income, rate movement and losses) against business plans\n\nCoordination of outputs and ensuring they are reported on for various stakeholders.\n\nStrategy\nSupport the UM team to:\nEnsure timely co-ordination, input and production of the annual Underwriting Business Plan\n\nEnsure the regulatory requirements are embedded into the regional business plan including but not limited to allocation of capital to individual product lines, risk based\n\nMonitor achievement of the region against the business plan, taking corrective action as appropriate\n\nMonitor and challenge loss ratio performance for the region including the class strategies.\n\nExposure Management\nSupport Underwriters and Cat modelling team with static exposure and aggregate monitoring.
