Summary/Job Purpose:

Provide underwriting and administrative support for new and renewal accounts by gathering, reviewing, and organizing underwriting information; coordinating account setup; processing policy transactions; issuing binders, policies, and endorsements; maintaining accurate account documentation; and facilitating efficient workflow between underwriters, brokers, agents, and internal business partners. This role helps ensure accurate, timely, and effective policy administration throughout the policy lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

• Gather, review, and organize submission and renewal information to prepare accounts for underwriting review.
• Analyze account information, including exposures, loss history, financial data, and risk reports, and follow up with brokers for outstanding requirements.

• Enter, maintain, and establish new account records, policy, pricing, reinsurance, and underwriting data across company systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Assist in the preparation of quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, and other underwriting documents.
• Process policy transactions, including endorsements and related documentation, within established authority and service standards.
• Support reinsurance administration, catastrophe modeling submissions, and other underwriting support activities as required.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure data integrity and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Research and resolve policy, billing, rating, and service inquiries from brokers, agents, underwriters, and internal partners.
• Order, review, and summarize risk engineering and inspection reports, highlighting key findings for underwriting consideration.
• Maintain organized account documentation and ensure timely completion of work while managing multiple priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and customer service outcomes.
• Participate in broker visits, loss inspections, and other underwriting activities as appropriate.

Education and Experience Required:

Diploma/Degree & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of insurance underwriting support or related experience.
• Understanding of commercial insurance concepts, policy structures, and underwriting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and insurance systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to meet established time and quality standards, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

Competitive Compensation Package includes:

Competitive salary commensurate with experience along with a performance-based bonus.

SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - 90,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
