It hires install and preventive maintenance technicians, wafer care and analytical test technicians, QA/QC inspectors, cost estimators and EHS coordinators.

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

SUMMARY:

The Director of Quality at MSR-FSR is responsible for driving improvements in quality structure and performance to enhance the company’s competitive position. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO9001 standards and exceed customer expectations. The Director will lead quality-related initiatives, including audits, training, and compliance efforts, while also serving as a primary point of contact for customer-facing quality reviews and ensuring effective communication across the organization. Additionally, this position ensures alignment with internal quality systems, manages quality investigations, and promotes a company-wide commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Promote opportunities to improve MSR-FSR’s competitive position through improvements in

quality structure and performance.

· Provide guidance to ensure MSR-FSR workplaces are constructed, maintained, and operated to deliver the highest quality.

· Champion continuing compliance and conformance with MSR-FSR internal quality systems and rules in all MSR-FSR endeavors.

· Aid MSR-FSR managers in promoting understanding of the company’s, management’s, and employees’ quality responsibilities through communication and training.

· Attend and lead customer facing quality review meetings. Present SPC data and updates on quality initiatives. Serve as high level customer contact for quality discussions.

· Monitor and drive to completion quality related investigations.

· Provide leadership to develop, maintain and continually improve an effective and efficient Quality Management System (QMS) that exceeds the ISO9001 requirements and Customers’ expectations.

· Promote awareness of the quality system procedures and requirements throughout the organization. Provide operations with monthly feedback on key quality system metrics.

· Respond to facilities’ requests for quality assistance (e.g., answers to questions, technical and regulatory clarifications, creation of plans and forms, evaluation of workplace designs, and product evaluations).

· Oversee and manage the centralized document control system that provides access to pertinent documents, reports, and records for all departments and functions.

· Develop and oversee company-wide training programs for quality, and key general awareness onboarding programs.

· Coordinate communication with external parties on matters relating to the quality system, data reporting, and ISO 9001 certification.

· Lead the planning and execution of internal quality system audits to determine compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements, and to seek out opportunities to improve quality performance. Help coordinate and support customer and third-party audits of the quality system.

· Lead and coordinate the implementation, review, and reporting of Statistical Process Control (SPC) applications for general and product-specific critical parameters.

· Report to management on the performance of the quality system, including trends in product non-conformances, corrective action requests, internal audits, customer feedback, SPC, supplier

Job Requirements:

· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quality Management, manufacturing, engineering, or related field, and/or 5 - 10 years’ progressive leadership experience in Quality positions.

· Broad knowledge and experience in quality management systems, from both customer and supplier perspectives.

· Above average oral and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

· Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors.

· Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members in relation to Quality Management.

· Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team, which provides company leadership and direction.

· Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.

· Demonstrated knowledge and experience with quality tools, including statistical process control and gage R&R

· Expertise in technical writing, providing direction to quality compliance and improvement efforts (e.g., policies, manuals, plans and programs, procedures and guidelines, forms, and training programs).
