Field Service provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installations, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.\nThis role is primarily based onsite on our client site in Agrate, Italy. Candidates must be available, flexible and eligible to travel within Europe as required.\nRequirements\n· Install, assemble, and commission sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer fabrication facilities according to our client specifications and safety standards.\n· Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process utility hookups required for equipment installation and startup.\n· Conduct tool alignment, calibration, startup, and functional testing to verify equipment performance and operational readiness.\n· When required, performs regular preventive maintenance on existing systems, checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment;\n· Ensure compliance with semiconductor cleanroom protocols, contamination control requirements, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) regulations.\n· Verify proper installation of process gas, chemical delivery, vacuum, exhaust, cooling water, and electrical systems associated with semiconductor equipment.\n· Perform equipment inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet customer standards.\n· Document installation activities, technical findings, system modifications, and commissioning results in accordance with company procedures.\n· Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, relocations, and technology conversions within high-volume manufacturing environments.\n· Train customer personnel on equipment operation, basic maintenance procedures, and safety requirements following installation.\n· Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, components, and project progress using company reporting systems.\n· Adhere to all lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, hazardous materials handling, and cleanroom safety requirements.\n· Work effectively in fast-paced semiconductor fabrication environments while meeting demanding production and project deadlines.\n· Guarantees customer’s satisfaction, maintaining daily communication, building effective relationships and partnering with them to jointly lead the growth of our industry.\nProfile & Requirements\n· Valid driving licence and willingness to travel. Travel to domestic and international customer sites to support equipment installations and project deployments is required.\n· EU work authorisation required.\n· Minimum 1 year of technical, electrical, or mechanical experience. Ideally 2-3 years.\n· Good communication skills in English (professional level required), written and oral.\n· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, installation manuals, and technical documentation to ensure accurate system integration.\n· Ability to work independently and within a team.\n· Customer-focused with excellent time management and organisational skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\n· Completed professional training in a technical field (e.g. mechatronics technician, electrical/electronic field);\n· Experience in electronics, pneumatics, or vacuum systems.\n· Preferred previous experience with semiconductor capital equipment and understanding of industry standards and best practices for semiconductor equipment service activities.\n· Open to candidates from other industries, including aviation, manufacturing, mechanics, and other hands-on technical roles.\n· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.\n· Fluent Italian and English is essential, both written and oral.
