The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for engineering activities in support of the production targets for components, assemblies, and machines.\nLocation: On-Site in Oak Ridge, TN\nSalary: Depending on Experience\nResponsibilities:\nEstablishes routings, processes, and procedures for fabrication, assembly, and repair of complex components\nLeads product launch activities\nResponsible for the achieving and maintaining targets for Availability, Performance, and Quality for manufacturing operations at the Technology and Manufacturing Center\nSupports established scopes of work for manufacturing activities\nLeads efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements in machining techniques, fixturing approaches, material properties, tooling/coatings, coolants/fluids choice and application techniques, and other Lean manufacturing approaches\nDocuments potential risks or shortfalls in future state processes\nLeads planning and analysis activities\nDesigns and develops manufacturing processes with a cross-functional team utilizing internal and external resources.\nDevelops specifications for fabrication materials and equipment\nLeads the design for manufacturing steps in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages to be used for fabrication\nManages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget\nAdheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, and environmental and safety program requirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other related engineering discipline.\n5+ Years of manufacturing experience.\nExperience with lean manufacturing\nExperience with industry manufacturing quality systems. i.e.: NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001\nExperience with AIAG Core Tools\nMust possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance \nPreferred Qualifications:\nActive “Q” or Top Secret security clearance\nExperience in Statistical Analysis\nExperience with composites manufacturing\nProject Management experience\nCentrifuge manufacturing experience is a plus\nExperience with license driven safety significant parts/systems\nBenefits:\nAll eligible employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, short/long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off including holidays, and tuition reimbursement.\nEEO Statement:\nMSTI is an equal-opportunity employer.
