The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and customer satisfaction.\nThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects within DOE, NNSA, commercial nuclear, defense, manufacturing, industrial, or other highly regulated environments. This position requires a strong leader capable of coordinating technical teams, managing client relationships, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.\nLocation: Onsite in Oak Ridge, TN\nSalary Range: Depending on Experience\nResponsibilities:\nLead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of engineering, procurement, construction, and technical projects.\nServe as the primary point of contact for customers, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal project teams.\nDevelop and maintain project management plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.\nManage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance objectives.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, operations, quality, safety, and construction personnel.\nMonitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule, budget, or performance challenges.\nIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.\nPrepare and present project status reports, forecasts, metrics, and executive briefings.\nManage project change control processes, contract modifications, and customer requests.\nSupport proposal development, project estimating, staffing plans, and business development activities.\nEnsure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.\nCoordinate procurement activities, subcontractor management, and supplier performance.\nFacilitate project meetings, design reviews, customer engagements, and project readiness assessments.\nWork closely with technical leads to ensure engineering deliverables support project objectives.\nPromote a strong culture of safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\nSupport project invoicing, revenue forecasting, earned value management, and financial performance monitoring.\nManage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field.\n5+ years of project management experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, government, nuclear, or infrastructure projects.\nDemonstrated experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and resources.\nFamiliarity with scheduling best practices and project controls principles, including earned value concepts\nExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.\nStrong understanding of project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management principles.\nExperience managing subcontractors, vendors, and procurement activities.\nKnowledge of project management methodologies, controls, and performance measurement techniques.\nExperience working in highly regulated environments such as DOE, NNSA, commercial nuclear, defense, or similar industries.\nStrong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting customer expectations.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE or U.S. Government security clearance.\nProficiency with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.\nWorking knowledge of DOE project lifecycle requirements and project controls practices.\nPMP certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire).\nAdditional Skills:\nStrong customer relationship management and client-facing communication abilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to work independently while leading diverse engineering teams.\nAbility to manage priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced environments.\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, project management tools, and Unanet ERP system.\nBenefits:\nAll eligible employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, short/long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off including holidays, and tuition reimbursement.\nEEO Statement:\nMSTI is an equal-opportunity employer.
