We are seeking a qualified Technical Training Instructor to support a premium Automotive OEM at the OEM training facility. The primary purpose of this role is the training of dealership apprentice technicians in the diagnostic strategies and proper repair of vehicle systems by facilitating service technical training classes at the Regional Training Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with enthusiasm for improving the diagnostic capabilities of technicians who are just beginning their career in the automotive industry.\nResponsibilities\nFacilitate training workshops for dealership apprentice technicians, with the goal of obtaining their initial OEM certification.\n\nPrepare workshops and vehicles for experiential learning.\n\nVerify learners’ understanding of the subject matter using competency-based training.\n\nIdentify additional training needs based on learners’ feedback and assessment of skills.\n\nEnsure Regional Training Facility, tools, student guides, literature, vehicles, and training center are properly maintained.\n\nMaintain attendee training records in learning portal.\n\nCollaborate regularly with Corporate, Regional, and Dealership team members to accomplish Corporate, Regional, and training department goals.\n\nPerform light to medium lifting requirements in repair shop operation management.\n\nAssist Corporate Training staff in the development of technical training curriculum as required.\n\nContinually enhance technical instructional facilitation skills, technical knowledge of vehicle systems, and diagnostic technology.\n\nComply with health and safety standards and maintain a safe work environment in the Training Center.\n\nMaintain shop cleanliness and follow published 5S standards.\n\nMaintain a professional relationship with customers and supplier personnel.\n\nMaintain and use equipment in the workshop to operational standard.\n\nTake reasonable precautions to protect company vehicles.\n\nExcellent time management skills\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nCharismatic personality and passion for adult education\n\nExcellent classroom facilitation skills\n\nShop Management skills\n\nThrives working independently but also enjoys working as part of a larger team\n\n Required Skills\n6 or more years of work experience in automotive technical repair and diagnostics.\n\n3 or more years of work experience training OEM dealership technicians.\n\nKnowledge and experience with electric vehicle technology a plus.\n\nAbility to read, interpret and explain mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.\n\nExperience preparing classrooms, workshops, and vehicles for learning.\n\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) a plus.\n\nTravel Requirements\nWill work out of the Ridgeville Training Center.\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license.\n\nEducation\nMust be fluent in English (additional foreign languages a plus).\n\nTech School, Automotive Certificate, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.\n\nPreferred Professional Certification (OEM Master Technician or ASE Master technician).\n\n MSX International is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer committed to employing a diverse workforce.
