This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for improving the diagnostic capabilities of professional dealership technicians.\nThe primary purpose of this role is the training of dealership technicians in the diagnostic strategies and proper repair of vehicle systems by facilitating service technical training classes at the Regional Training Center.\nDay to Day Responsibilities:\nPrepare workshops and vehicles for experiential learning.\nFacilitate training workshops for dealership technicians, with the goal of improving diagnosis and repair competencies.\nEnsure Regional Training Facility, tools, student guides, literature, vehicles, and training center are properly maintained.\nVerify learners’ understanding of the subject matter using competency-based training.\nIdentify additional training needs based on learners’ feedback and assessment of skills.\nMaintain attendee training records in learning portal.\nCollaborate regularly with Corporate, Regional, and Dealership team members to accomplish Corporate, Regional, and training department goals,\nPerform light to medium lifting requirements in repair shop operation management.\nAbility to travel and train at additional locations, as required.\nAssist Corporate Training staff in the development of technical training curriculum as required.\nAssist Program Manager with scheduling for effective coverage of curriculum.\nContinually enhance technical instructional facilitation skills, technical knowledge of vehicle systems, and diagnostic technology.\nComply with health and safety standards and maintain a safe work environment in the Training Center.\nMaintain shop cleanliness and follow published 5S standards.\nMaintain a professional relationship with customers and supplier personnel.\nMaintain and use equipment in the workshop to operational standard.\nTake reasonable pre-cautions to protect company vehicles.\n 6 or more years of work experience in automotive technical repair and diagnostics\n3 or more years of work experience training OEM dealership technicians\nKnowledge and experience with electric vehicle technology a plus\nProfessional Certification (OEM Master Technician or ASE Master technician)\nAbility to read, interpret and explain mechanical drawings and electrical schematics\nExperience preparing classrooms, workshops, and vehicles for learning\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) a plus\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent Automotive Technology a plus\nBilingual in Spanish, a plus\nMust have a valid driver’s license\nExcellent time management skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nCharismatic personality and passion for adult education\nExcellent classroom facilitation skills\nShop Management skills\nThrives working independently but also enjoys working as part of a larger team\n The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
