Maintenance and creation of relationships with COIs, and other referral sources.\nAssists Regional Business Banking Manager with development of department strategy, and budget planning and management.\nScope of Responsibilities:\nResponsible for interacting with loan analysts, underwriters and customers on lender’s behalf to facilitate loan production.\nProvision of support and problem solving for lenders on loan structuring on complex credits; joint sales calls.\nCoordination of efforts of lenders and branch managers via communication with Area Sales managers to achieve mutual market goals.\nKeep current with customer demand for deposit products, information reporting systems, investment methods, etc.\nSupervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:\nResponsible for the management of a team of at least three Business Bankers. Responsible for personnel management, recruitment and training, including exercise of usual management authority with respect to staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.\nEducation and Experience Required:\nMBA preferred; Bachelors degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience required\n7+ years in commercial lending experience\nKnowledge of software utilized within the department, specific familiarity with Word, Excel. Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns; familiarity with technical terminology of accounting field. Excellent credit skills. Excellent understanding of product specialties available to Business Banking customers and the ability to identify sales opportunities within the product sets.\nSelf motivated, well organized\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of bank personnel as well as clients and potential customers.\nThorough knowledge of bank’s policies, products and services.\nAbility to work under critical time constraints.\nAbility to function professionally at many different levels (client, management, peers).\nAttendance at functions outside of normal working hours.\nMay involve substantial travel.\nEducation and Experience Preferred:\n3-5 years in Supervisory or branch management experience preferred.\nM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
