What you will do:\nPlan, implement, and manage automated manufacturing systems to improve production efficiency and quality\nLead a team of engineers in designing, installing, and maintaining automation equipment such as robotics, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and control systems\nCollaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure automation solutions meet operational requirements.\nMonitor system performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime\nManage budgets, timelines and resources for automation budgets\nEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory standards\nStay updated with the latest automation technologies and integrating relevant innovations into manufacturing processes\nRecruit, train, and retain a qualified and motivated team\nImprovement productivity and quality\nProvide timely and accurate performance evaluations\nControl workflow to achieve targets and minimize costs\nRegulate and enforce 5S program\nImplement continuous improvement projects\nEstablish and monitor department budget\nAchieve OTD, lead time, failure analysis, and quality goals\nDevelop reports and metrics to monitor individual performance to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved\nDevelop system design guidelines and ensure that all system’s design, quality, and manufacturing procedures meet the guidelines \nWork with production and manufacturing engineering to understand process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality\nEffectively utilize engineering resources to achieve increased productivity\nProvide expertise and take responsibility for compliance to relevant industry and regulatory standards\nStay abreast of technological advances that can be applied to inspection systems\nProvide troubleshooting support for engineering, production, sales, and service\nOther duties and tasks as assigned\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nMechanical Engineering Degree, MBA a plus\n2D & 3D CAD experience\n5-10 years supervisory experience in engineering\nExcellent communication skills, both oral and written\nAbility to document processes\nResearch & development skills\nAbility to solve problems and make decisions\nAbility to motivate employees and create an environment that promotes \nAbility to handle multiple tasks and pay attention to detail\nAbility to supervise others and manage budgets\nExperience in automated machinery design in a manufacturing environment\nAbility to travel up to 15% of the time.
