You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs while representing the company professionally at customer locations across your assigned region. \nMust be willing to attain and maintain a Class B CDL.\nWhat you will do\nPerform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment (primarily floor scales and bench scales) at customer sites, following established procedures and safety standards. \nTroubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs as needed, partnering with more experienced technicians when required. \nProvide end-user training so operators understand how to use and care for their equipment correctly. \nUse a company laptop and service software to document work performed, update service records, and maintain data integrity in the service database each day. \nCommunicate closely with the Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and fellow technicians to meet customer uptime and response-time expectations. \nMaintain your company vehicle and assigned parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner. \nSupport service revenue by identifying service or product needs and submitting sales leads in line with your experience level.\nFollow all company, customer, safety, and quality policies to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nValid driver's license required. \nMinimum of a High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years of relevant work experience. \nCustomer-facing or field service experience preferred; commercial experience desired. \nBasic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies, including PC networking and software configuration. \n1 to 3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience. \nAbility to obtain and maintain a Weights and Measures license; failure to do so may result in termination. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). \nAbility to learn proprietary software and update information using METTLER TOLEDO programs. \nWillingness and ability to travel overnight up to 10% on average, potentially up to 25%, primarily by company vehicle or plane. \nMust reside within the service territory. \nAbility to work overtime averaging 10-15%, possibly up to 25%. \nWillingness to work in environments with hazards such as chemicals, solvents, vehicle traffic, machinery, dust, dirt, cold, and fumes. \nWillingness to wear protective equipment and clothing when required. \nPosition is safety sensitive and subject to drug testing. \nPhysical ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier loads by carrying, pushing, or pulling. \nFrequent physical movements required such as crouching, stooping, kneeling, and repeated bending for safe and efficient job performance.\nOur Offer to You\nA company car with paid insurance for your work use\nAll tools and equipment needed to perform the job and a clothing allowance \nMedical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire \nTuition reimbursement, perks and discounts \nParental and caregiver leave programs \nAll the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits \nGlobal market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing \nA brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation \nThousands of patents, design and innovation awards A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipment\nAbout Mettler Toledo\nMETTLER TOLEDO is a global leader in precision instruments and services.
