What you'll be doing in detail:\nLead and Inspire High-Performing Teams\nLead and develop a software organization of ~30 professionals.\nManage and empower Team Leaders, Architects, and Software Engineers.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, growth, and engineering excellence.\nGuide critical software projects and organizational transformations.\nDrive Software Strategy and Architecture\nDefine and execute the software strategy across embedded, Linux, PC, and service software.\nDrive scalable architectures, platforms, and development processes.\nIncrease software reuse, accelerate innovation, and reduce complexity.\nSupport compliance and certification through smart software design.\nShape the Future of Software Engineering\nOwn and evolve the Linux/Debian platform for future products.\nAdvance development environments, CI/CD, test automation, and release processes.\nStrengthen engineering excellence through modern tools and practices.\nLead Innovation in Emerging Technologies\nDefine and implement the AI strategy for software development.\nEstablish best practices for AI-enabled engineering tools.\nDrive cybersecurity initiatives and CRA compliance.\nBuild capabilities for next-generation software technologies.\nCollaborate Across Functions\nInfluence product roadmaps and strategic R&D decisions.\nPartner with Product Management, Hardware Engineering, Service, and Quality.\nManage external development partners and suppliers.\nRepresent software topics at leadership level.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nEducation: University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable discipline. Solid technical foundation in software engineering and complex product development environments.\nSoftware Development: Extensive experience in software development for complex, hardware-integrated products. Strong expertise in defining software architecture and platform strategies across multiple product lines. Proven experience developing software for proprietary hardware platforms and Linux-based embedded systems.\nLeadership: Several years of leadership experience in software development, ideally leading leaders and cross-functional teams. Collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing talent. Business-oriented mindset with experience managing budgets, making data-driven decisions, and driving organizational success.\nTechnology & Programming: Strong hands-on background in C/C++, C#, and Linux-based embedded systems, preferably Debian.
