As we migrate from Exasol to Microsoft Fabric, you’ll play a key role in designing and building the pipelines, architecture and engineering standards that will support our organisation for years to come. Together with the BI Specialist and DRIVE Product Owner, you’ll have real influence over how we structure, govern and develop our data platform.\nWhat the job looks like week to week\nYou’ll build and manage data pipelines from source systems, APIs and files into Microsoft Fabric, shaping data through the different layers until it’s ready for analytics and reporting.\nYou’ll also make sure the platform stays reliable and scalable: monitoring pipelines, solving refresh issues, improving performance and keeping an eye on capacity and cost as the platform grows.\nWhat you'll do\nBuild and maintain reliable data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, from source systems, APIs and files through to the Gold layer.\n\nShape and maintain the medallion architecture across Lakehouse and Warehouse environments.\n\nDevelop scalable transformations using PySpark, Python and T-SQL.\n\nKeep the platform healthy and reliable through monitoring, logging, alerting and troubleshooting.\n\nManage Fabric capacity, performance and cost as the platform grows.\n\nHelp establish strong engineering standards around CI/CD, security and governance.\n\nMust-have\n3+ years of hands-on experience building data ingestion and ETL pipelines.\n\nStrong knowledge of SQL/T-SQL and PySpark/Python.\n\nExperience with Delta Lake and medallion-style architectures, including incremental load patterns.\n\nEnough understanding of the analytics and semantic modelling side to know what good, business-ready data should look like.\n\nCommunication and stakeholder management skills, with bachelor’s-level thinking and working ability gained through education or experience.\n\nBachelor’s degree level or equivalent working and thinking ability\n\nNice-to-have\nFabric capacity management and cost control\n\nDP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate), or willing to obtain\n\nExperience re-implementing logic from another SQL dialect (we're migrating from Exasol)\n\nDevOps practices: Git-based CI/CD, testing and version control\n\nWhat we offer & what happens next\nYou’ll join a small, ambitious Data & Analytics team where you’ll have plenty of room to shape the way we work and make a visible impact across the organisation.\nWe offer:\nA competitive salary, based on your experience\n\nAn attractive pension scheme\n\nContributions towards health insurance and your phone subscription\n\n25 holiday days\n\nHybrid working\n\nThe option to work abroad for a period of time\n\nInterested?
