Following a Salesforce go-live in April 2026, the project team is focused on the next phase of implementation, including data stabilization, process refinement, reporting, and user adoption.\nThe successful CRM Solutions Architect will provide strategic and technical leadership through the continued development of a scalable technology environment, leveraging the power and flexibility of the Salesforce ecosystem (including managed package CRM Kindsight ascend) and knowledge of the institution’s business strategy, to develop and implement solutions that support the Division of College Relations in meeting its fundraising and engagement objectives, furthering the College’s mission.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSolutions Architecture\nPartner with business units to gather requirements, analyze processes, and design effective, scalable solutions.\n\nTranslate business goals into technical specifications and determine when to use Salesforce configuration, Apex/custom development, or third-party applications.\n\nDevelop process maps, user stories, testing strategies, and acceptance criteria.\n\nDesign and implement Salesforce Flows and other automations to improve efficiency, data quality, and approvals.\n\nOversee data quality, imports, mapping, analysis, and ongoing maintenance.\n\nManage Salesforce/ascend users, licenses, permissions, and security in partnership with LITS.\n\nPlatform Architecture & Governance\nServe as a technical advisor to leadership and project teams, promoting Salesforce best practices, scalability, sustainability, and technical debt management.\n\nDevelop custom objects and metadata and co-design Apex and Lightning Web Component (LWC) solutions with LITS.\n\nLead architecture and code reviews and assess technical risks.\n\nServe as technical lead for Kindsight Connect (alum portal), including architecture, configuration, and managed package governance.\n\nManage ascend integrations with Kindsight Connect, Blackthorn, GiveCampus, and enterprise systems such as Workday and Slate.\n\nCoordinate system and application upgrades with LITS and College Relations Data Services.\n\nDocumentation & Training\nLead end-user onboarding and training to build Salesforce expertise and self-sufficiency.\n\nPromote best practices for system configuration, reporting, data views, and end-user processes.\n\nTeam Management\nSupervise one technology and data professional responsible for documentation, training, and selected CRM administration functions.\n\nSKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATIONS:\n1. Required\nStrong experience administering Salesforce managed packages, including configuration, upgrades, and ongoing support\n\nExtensive experience utilizing Salesforce declarative solutions required\n\nExperience in gathering business requirements, requirements analysis, business analysis, and systems development life-cycle\n\nStrong understanding of advancement business use cases\n\nAbility to collaborate and influence project stakeholders and developers, and work in or lead cross-functional teams; ability to build relationships with people in various levels and areas of the organization (e.g. LITS colleagues, fundraisers, senior leadership)\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field\n\n7 years experience working in Salesforce architecture and implementation\n\nSalesforce Platform Administrator Certification required\n\n2.
