This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a dynamic student-athlete community by fostering both athletic excellence and personal growth within a competitive, inclusive, and values-driven program.\nThe Assistant Coach will collaborate closely with the Head Coach and student leaders, supporting all aspects of program administration throughout the academic year. This role requires availability for evening and weekend commitments for practices, competitions, and recruiting events.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCoach assigned event groups during practices and competitions (throws experience strongly preferred).\n\nEnsure all training sessions and competitive environments adhere to proper safety standards and best practices within the sport.\n\nAssist the Head Coach with recruiting efforts, including communicating with prospective student-athletes in full compliance with NCAA Division III regulations.\n\nSupport and help monitor the academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being of all track & field student-athletes.\n\nAssist with the maintenance, organization, and inventory of event-specific equipment.\n\nContribute to the planning and execution of home track & field meets and events.\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nCommitment to supporting and developing student-athletes.\n\nPassion for the sport and dedication to athlete development.\n\nStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nSelf-motivated, with the ability to teach and coach highly talented scholar-athletes in a rigorous academic environment.\n\nDemonstrated cultural competence working with a diverse student body.\n\nValid driver’s license.\n\nCurrent Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree.\n\nKnowledge of track & field (throws experience preferred).\n\nCompetitive track & field experience.\n\nPrevious coaching experience.\n\nHire Rate: $20.00 / Hour\nFull Job Description\nBackground Checks:\nMount Holyoke College is committed to providing a safe and secure environment, supported by qualified employees that will allow all of its students, faculty, staff and those associated with them to successfully carry out the mission of the college.
