You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions that support operational excellence and product innovation.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop and maintain embedded software applications using modern C++.\nDevelop software within Linux-based embedded environments.\nDesign and implement real-time, multi-threaded applications.\nWork closely with Systems Engineers, Hardware Engineers and Test teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nIntegrate software with complex hardware and networking systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.\nParticipate in technical reviews, architecture discussions and code reviews.\nSupport software verification, validation and testing activities.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.\nSkills & Experience:\nStrong commercial experience developing embedded software using C++.\nExperience working in Linux or Embedded Linux environments.\nExperience developing real-time and multi-threaded applications.\nKnowledge of TCP/IP and UDP networking protocols.\nExperience working with complex integrated systems.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nExperience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.\nAbility to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nDegree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.\nDesirable Skills:\nExperience with C# development.\nKnowledge of OpenEmbedded, BitBake or Buildroot.\nExperience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.\nUnderstanding of embedded networking, device drivers or low-level hardware interfaces.\nExperience using diagnostic and protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark.\nPrevious experience within defence, marine, aerospace, telecommunications, transport, industrial automation or other highly regulated engineering environments.\nExposure to radar, navigation, sensing or mission-critical systems.\nSuccess in this role means delivering robust, reliable and maintainable embedded software solutions that perform effectively in complex operational environments. You will contribute to the successful delivery of innovative products by maintaining high engineering standards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
