{"id":2611638,"url":"https://alion.io/job/mtlcraft-1st-shift-production-supervisor-west-bend","title":"1st Shift Production Supervisor (West Bend)","company":{"id":4421838,"name":"Metalcraft of Mayville","domain":"mtlcraft.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/mtlcraft","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"iCIMS","truth_index":null},"role":"Industrial Engineering","role_family":"Industrial Engineering","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["West Bend, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":65000,"max_usd":153000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":15150},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-15T11:09:18Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-15","last_verified_at":"2026-10-27T13:16:15Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":12,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":12},"description":"Overview\nReporting to the Plant Manager, the 1st Shift Weld Production Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing a team of manual and Robotic Welders; assign tasks, and will support the overall operation by ensuring full utilization of the Robotic Welding department resources.\nResponsibilities\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.\nResponsible for safety, quality, production and customer satisfaction.\nSupervising, prioritizing, schedule and delegate work assignments to a team of welders and robotic weld operators to ensure the production of company products is at the highest quality and lowest possible cost.\nDevelop, recommend, and implement departmental policies and procedures, processes, and methods to adhere to company safety standards, work regulations and standards.\nConfer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, and grievances.\nInspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.\nConfer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.\nRecommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.\nConduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.\nDirect and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production of goods.\nRead and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.\nPlan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.\nEffectively keep and record employees' attendance, vacation, hours, and other timekeeping activity on a daily basis in our time keeping systems. \nEnsure line associates follow established manufacturing processes and meet production requirements while completing all required production paperwork, records, and other documentation.\nRequisition and order materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.\nObserve work and monitor output to ensure that welders conform to production or processing standards of Metalcraft’s performance standards and delivery requirements, and customer specifications.\nEnsures adherence to company safety standards, policies and procedures, and be a resource to other inquires and problems; analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving problems.\nProvide recommendations for corrections or improvements as appropriate.\nPromote a positive and growth/opportunity-oriented mindset among peers and any subordinates and work with HR to settle worker grievances.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
