This position is responsible for the setup and operation of Cincinnati and Amada hydraulic CNC press brakes in a fast-paced, just-in-time fabrication environment.\nReporting to the Brake Press Manager, the Brake Press Operator will set up equipment, select appropriate tooling, form metal components to specifications, and inspect completed parts to ensure quality requirements are met.\nResponsibilities\nSet up and operate Cincinnati and Amada hydraulic CNC press brakes.\n\nRead work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to determine job specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.\n\nSelect, install, align, and properly set up punches, dies, and other required tooling.\n\nPosition and secure workpieces using appropriate fixtures, stops, and measuring devices.\n\nAdjust machine settings, including ram strokes, speeds, angles, and other parameters based on job requirements.\n\nPerform forming operations according to established production and quality standards.\n\nInspect and measure completed parts to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications.\n\nUse gauges, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment to ensure part quality.\n\nIdentify and troubleshoot basic production, material, or quality issues and seek assistance when needed.\n\nSafely operate forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes to move materials and completed work.\n\nRemove burrs or sharp edges from finished parts as needed.\n\nRecord production time and completed work using the company’s computer-based data collection system.\n\nMaintain equipment performance logs and report maintenance concerns or deficiencies.\n\nPerform operator-level preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.\n\nAssist other operators or production areas as needed.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\n\nFollow all corporate and plant safety standards.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nStrong background in metal forming, press operation, or basic fabrication.\n\nPrevious CNC brake press experience preferred.\n\nExperience with Cincinnati and/or Amada press brakes is a plus.\n\nBasic ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.\n\nAbility to perform basic shop math.\n\nExperience with basic dimensional measuring and ability to learn precision measurement tools.\n\nAbility to select and work with appropriate tooling for metal-forming applications.\n\nForklift experience or ability to safely operate a forklift.\n\nPrevious overhead crane experience is preferred.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nAbility to follow instructions and complete assignments accurately and efficiently.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot basic manufacturing issues and adapt to changing production needs.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\n\nDependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.\n\nJob Expectations\nIf you have experience in metal fabrication and are looking for an opportunity to grow your skills in CNC brake press operation, we want to hear from you.
