Reporting to the Brake Press Manager, this position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of Cincinnati and Amada hydraulic CNC press brakes in a fast-paced, just-in-time fabrication environment.\nThe Brake Press Operator will set up equipment, select appropriate tooling, form metal components to specifications, and inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.\nResponsibilities\nSet up and operate Cincinnati and Amada hydraulic CNC press brakes.\n\nSelect the correct tooling for each job using setup documentation, work instructions, or assistance from a supervisor or lead.\n\nInstall, align, and properly set up punches, dies, and other required tooling.\n\nRead and interpret work orders, production schedules, blueprints, and shop drawings to determine job specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.\n\nPosition, align, and secure workpieces using fixtures, stops, guides, and other equipment.\n\nAdjust machine settings and components to meet product specifications and production requirements.\n\nPlan the sequence of forming operations based on job requirements and material characteristics.\n\nUse gauges, hand tools, and measuring equipment to verify dimensions and ensure completed parts meet specifications.\n\nPerform assigned work according to established production and quality standards.\n\nIdentify and troubleshoot basic manufacturing, material, or quality issues and seek assistance when needed.\n\nSafely operate forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes to move materials and completed work.\n\nMark and identify completed work as required.\n\nReport and document material, production, equipment, or quality concerns.\n\nPerform operator-level preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.\n\nAssist other operators or production areas as needed.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\n\nFollow all company and plant safety procedures.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nPrevious brake press, metal forming, fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.\n\nExperience with Cincinnati and/or Amada CNC press brakes is a plus.\n\nBasic ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.\n\nAbility to perform basic shop math.\n\nExperience with basic dimensional measuring and ability to learn precision measuring tools.\n\nMechanical aptitude and ability to work with various metal-forming processes.\n\nAbility to safely operate a forklift.\n\nPrevious overhead crane experience is preferred.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\nAbility to follow instructions and complete work accurately and efficiently.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot basic manufacturing issues and seek assistance when appropriate.\n\nDependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks.\n\nAbility to adapt to changing production needs.\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\n\nEqual opportunity employer -
