Together, we thrive, push our limits, and work as team to help you reach your full potential.\nWhat will your job look like?\nThe Mobility Assessment Evaluator (MAE) is responsible for reviewing ADA paratransit application materials, supplemental intake and professional verification forms, conducting in-person interviews for applicants, and performing functional assessments with applicants to determine eligibility for ADA paratransit service. The Mobility Assessment Evaluator (MAE) is also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, and providing final eligibility determinations to the Client.\nLocation: MTA Assessments- Baltimore, MD\nPay: $25/Hour\nWhat you’ll do:\nDetermines final eligibility based upon the application, interview, functional assessment and any supplemental information\nConduct in-person interviews to assess mobility capabilities and review any supplemental information provided\nDetermine what functional assessments the applicant will be required to undergo\nProvide written eligibility determination documentation to Client within ADA required and contracted time frame\nReads and interprets ADA paratransit applications, intake forms, and professional verification forms\nReview interview results and application paperwork and follow up on assessments and professional verifications, as needed\nProvide further written documentation to Client upon request\nAssist the leadership team in identifying process improvement opportunities\nConduct functional physical and/or cognitive assessment with applicants that may include:Physical Functional Assessment using an outdoor course\nPhysical Functional Assessment using an indoor course\nFACTS\nMMSE\n\nApply information obtained to determine applicant’s capability to independently ride fixed route transportation\nProvide required forms to administrative personnel for data-entry and eligibility letter generation\nParticipate in staff meetings with leadership and/or Client\nParticipate in community outreach and education as needed\nParticipate in initial and on-going training as required by MTM and Client\nComplete all necessary reports, paperwork and maintain on-going applicant tracking logs and reports for MTM and Client\nInput all information into Client software (Trapeze) and other software as appropriate\nBuild rapport and communicate effectively with MTM and Client personnel to include administrators, management, support staff and applicant while providing high quality customer service\nParticipate in appeals process, upon request\nMaintain a positive attitude when interacting with individuals, support Staff and caregivers\nWork with management and the Client to follow through on service issues, troubleshooting problems, concerns, complaints and training\nMust conform to MTM’s HIPAA standards\nWhat you’ll need:\nExperience, Education & Certifications:\nBachelor’s degree in human and social services, rehabilitation, behavioral health services, or a healthcare-related field (may substitute high school diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of eligibility assessment experience, and completion of a job-specific eligibility assessment training program).\n3+ years of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities\nExperience and knowledge with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and sensitivity to issues relating to people with disabilities and older adults\nCapability to perform all required assessments to determine eligibility\nExperience conducting information-gathering relating to ADA Paratransit eligibility\nRelated experience with regard to the functional assessment of individuals with disabilities along with experience working with individuals with disabilities\nSkills:\nSolid interviewing, assessment and observational skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population\nAbility to be trained in administering a standardized evaluation tool and be able to consistently administer and score such a tool according to established protocols\nAbility to clearly communicate their findings and observations on the required database reports and notes, as well as in certification letters\nIntermediate level of proficiency or above with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)\nDesire to learn additional programs\nExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skills\nAbility to work flexible hours\nFamiliarity with MS Office Suite.\nAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment\nAbility to work under limited supervision\nAbility to make clear and factual observations\nAdditional language skills are preferred\nAbility to maintain high level of confidentiality\nKnowledge of the public transportation system & services\nKnowledge of ADA complementary paratransit regulations, including, but not limited to, the regulatory definition of ADA paratransit eligibility\nAbility to work well with the elderly and individuals with
