Assists with organizing and conducting activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance, tracks and reports sign-in and sign-out times, assure routes are timely, and communicate service issues to the appropriate personnel. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures, which involves daily communication and interaction with drivers and monitors (as applicable).\nThis position is located onsite in Manteca, CA\nWhy make the move to MTM Transit:\nStarting pay: $25.00 - $27.00/HR\nPaid Training\nSafety Bonus\nYearly Pay Increases\nReferral Bonus Program\nWhat You'll Do:\nHandle all inbound calls into Manteca Transit Center general contact phone number, professional and timely\nEnsure calls are routed to the appropriate individual or department\nGreet all customers at the Dispatch Window and assist with their questions and transportation needs\nMeet contract service needs by disseminating the proper information and verifying eligibility, from transportation callers, to help coordinate non-emergent transportation and/or paratransit services utilizing transportation management systems\nMonitors Fixed Route & Para-Transit Vehicles & Drivers using desktop tracking applications for on-road provision of service for quality\nOrganize and route trips based on schedule and location to ensure optimal performance\nProvide assistance to drivers for directions to destinations\nAssist drivers and transportation providers with problems or issues related to scheduling\nEstablish and maintain effective communication with transportation providers\nReport and record all accidents, incidents, complaints, and compliments to the applicable manager\nDocument and report provider no shows or on-time-performance issues\nInform transportation providers of their next-days trips and any new trips that occur\nMonitor radio, telephones and on-road provision of service for quality\nRecord time of departure, destination, and expected time of return\nProvide daily safety messages to drivers\nProvide feedback on drivers’ performance\nAcquire and maintain in depth knowledge of, and adhere to, established protocols and procedures outlined in the Manteca Transit SOP\nFollow all “Opening” and “Closing” steps outlined on the Dispatcher Checklist\nWhat You’ll Need:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent\n2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling expertise preferred\n1 year experience working with the applicable transit scheduling system preferred\nKnowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferred\nPossess valid authorization to work in the United States\nEven better if you have…\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nGood organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details\nMust be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, two-way radio communication and data analysis skills\nSkills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications\nAbility to maintain high level of confidentiality\nRegular attendance is required\nCalifornia CDL Class B/A with Air Brake & Passenger Endorsements\nPay Range:\nStarting Pay: $25.00 - $27.00/HR\nEqual Opportunity Employer: MTM is an equal opportunity employer.
