MTM Transit is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician A to join our team in Stuart, Florida.\nOur technicians do more than repair vehicles. They play a critical role in keeping our communities connected by ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably every day.\nWe invest in our technicians with industry-leading training, ASE certification incentives, career development opportunities, and a supportive team environment.\nPay Range: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Fleet Maintenance Technician A, you will:\nPerform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on transit vehicles\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems\nService automotive, light-duty truck, and heavy-duty transit bus powertrains\nDiagnose and repair chassis, suspension, brake, and drivability concerns\nComplete electronic work orders accurately and timely\nAssist with maintaining shop equipment, vehicle lifts, pumps, and facility systems\nSupport general maintenance of the facility and grounds\nFollow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\nAt least 21 years of age\nMust possess a valid Florida Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement without air brake restriction\nMust have a minimum of 3 years driving history\nNo DWI/DUI charges\nNo more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years\nNo accidents or point violations within the last 3 years\n Minimum 4 years of automotive or truck repair experience, or equivalent automotive technical training\nAbility to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record review\nAuthorization to work in the United States\nTechnical Skills & Experience\nExperience with vehicle diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and repair\nKnowledge of automotive, truck, and heavy-duty transit vehicle systems\nAbility to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments\nAC609 Certification, or ability to obtain\nMust provide personal hand tools (MTM provides specialty, diagnostic, and heavy equipment)\nBasic computer proficiency for electronic work orders and maintenance records\nProfessional Skills\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\nCommitment to safety and quality workmanship\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies\nReliable attendance and dependability\nPreferred Qualifications\nASE Certifications\nMaster ASE Certification or working toward certification\nWhy Join MTM Transit?\nAt MTM, we believe that taking care of our employees-and the people they love-is the foundation of a healthy, thriving organization.
