This position consists of service, diagnosing, repair, and general maintenance of MTM Transit service vehicles.\nOur Fleet Maintenance staff are more than Mechanics. They are guardians of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Their dedication ensures our vehicles are always ready to keep communities connected and passengers on the move.\nLocation: 436 S Hamilton Ct Gilbert, AZ 85233\nSchedule: All available schedules include weekend days.\n**$2500 Sign on bonus**\nWhat you'll do:\nResponsible for maintenance, electrical service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles\n\nResponsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds\n\nAreas of repair to include but not limited to: automotive vehicle, light duty truck, heavy duty transit bus powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis\n\nEnsure accuracy when completing electronic work orders\n\nAssist in maintaining shop and facility to include servicing vehicle lifts, pumps, and like equipment as needed\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned or required\n\nWhat you'll need:\nExperience, Education & Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent\n\nMust be 21 years or older\n\nValid U.S. Driver's License for the past 3 years\n\nPossess valid authorization to work in the State of Arizona and the United States\n\nMust have minimum of 4+ years of auto/truck experience or automotive courses from automotive institute\n\nMust be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening\n\nMust pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check\n\nNo DUI's, DWI's or Reckless driving in the past 5 years\n\nMust not have more than 1 moving violation during each of the last 3 years\n\nIn the event that your license has been previously revoked, you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no violations\n\nSkills:\nMust possess the AC609 Certification or ability to obtain\n\nExperience using hand and power tools, machinery, sophisticated test and diagnostic equipment related to automotive repair\n\nMust possess proper hand tools or willing to obtain. For each year the employee retains their Master ASE in an approved series you will receive $2,500.\n\nEach initial passing of an ASE test you will now receive a one time bonus of $250.00.\n\nMTM will pay for each test for the technicians up to 2 times per test.
