This position consists of service, diagnosing, repair, and general maintenance of MTM Transit service vehicles.\nOur Fleet Maintenance staff are more than Mechanics. Their dedication ensures our vehicles are always ready to keep communities connected and passengers on the move.\nLocation: 829 West Silverlake Road, Tucson, AZ 85713\nSchedule: 1:00pm - 9:30pm, Monday - Friday\nPay: $28.00 - $29.00/hr depending on experience\nWhat you'll do:\nResponsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles\nResponsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds\nAreas of repair to include but not limited to: automotive vehicle, light duty truck , powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis\nAssist in maintaining shop and facility to include servicing vehicle lifts, pumps, and like equipment\nEnsure accuracy when completing electronic work orders\nPerform additional duties as assigned or required\nWhat you'll need:\nExperience, Education & Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent\nMust be 21 years or older\nMust have and maintain a valid Arizona CDL with passenger endorsement\nNo reckless driving offenses within the past 5 years\nNo convictions involving moral turpitude within the past 5 years\nNo DUI or DWI convictions\nPossess valid authorization to work in the United States\nMust be able to pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug screening\nMust pass criminal background check and investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check\nSkills:\nMust possess the AC609 Certification or ability to obtain\nExperience using hand and power tools, machinery, sophisticated test and diagnostic equipment related to automotive repair\nMust possess proper hand tools or willing to obtain. For each year the employee retains their Master ASE in an approved series you will receive $2,500.\nEach initial passing of an ASE test you will now receive a one time bonus of $250.00.\nMTM will pay for each test for the technicians up to 2 times per test.
