Drive Performance. Make an Impact.\nMTM Transit is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a large-scale transportation contract. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, regulatory compliance, financial performance, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.\nAs the General Manager, you will serve as the key liaison between MTM Transit, our client, and internal support teams while leading a workforce of more than 100 employees in a complex, fast-paced transit environment.\nIf you are a proven operations leader with experience managing large teams, multimillion-dollar contracts, and client relationships, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nOperational Leadership\nLead all aspects of contract operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery\nAnticipate growth opportunities and develop strategies to support evolving client needs\nMonitor operational performance, productivity, and service metrics\nIdentify operational risks and implement effective solutions\nEnsure proper staffing levels and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness\nOversee development and execution of operational plans, procedures, and documentation\nClient & Contract Management\nServe as the primary liaison between MTM Transit and the client\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service\nEnsure contractual obligations and performance standards are consistently met\nDevelop and present annual business and operational reviews\nEducate clients on MTM Transit services, industry trends, and operational improvements\nAddress concerns, issues, and escalations in a timely and professional manner\nLeadership & Employee Development\nLead, coach, and develop management staff and frontline employees\nFoster a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement\nConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities\nSupport employee engagement, retention, and professional growth initiatives\nCompliance & Safety\nMaintain strict adherence to ADA, DOT, FTA, and company regulations\nOversee federally mandated Drug and Alcohol Program requirements\nEnsure employee and vehicle files remain audit-ready and compliant\nPromote and maintain a strong Safety First culture throughout the organization\nMonitor compliance programs and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures\nAdditional Responsibilities\nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of all MTM Transit departments and support functions\nMaintain expertise regarding local transportation challenges and industry trends\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nWhat You'll Need\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\n7+ years of senior leadership experience managing large-scale operations\nExperience leading teams of 100+ employees\nExperience managing multimillion-dollar service contracts including overseeing contractual service delivery and operational performance\nExperience in paratransit, public transit, transportation, or mobility services\nContract and project management experience\nExperience working within a union environment\nValid driver's license required\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nExceptional leadership and relationship-building skills\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities\nExperience managing budgets and financial performance metrics\nData analysis and reporting expertise\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines\nKnowledge of ADA, DOT, and FTA regulations\nExperience developing operational policies, procedures, and process improvements\nAdvanced computer proficiency and reporting systems knowledge\nStrong confidentiality, professionalism, and business acumen\nAbility to learn and effectively utilize transit technology and routing systems\nWhy Join MTM Transit?\nAt MTM Transit, our mission is to connect people to the communities and services that help them thrive.
