While contract awards have not yet been finalized, we are seeking qualified professionals interested in joining our talent community and being considered for upcoming opportunities nationwide.\nThis Evergreen Requisition is designed to identify and engage talented maintenance professionals for future Manager, Maintenance openings as new contracts are awarded and operations expand. Qualified candidates may be considered for opportunities supporting fleets of varying sizes and complexity.\nPosition Summary\nThe Manager, Fleet Maintenance is responsible for overseeing and maintaining an effective fleet maintenance program to ensure vehicles are operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements. This position provides leadership for maintenance operations, preventative maintenance programs, vendor management, regulatory compliance, vehicle performance, and fleet asset management while supporting operational excellence and service reliability.\nEssential Responsibilitie s\nLead daily fleet maintenance operations and provide guidance and support to maintenance personnel. \nDevelop and manage preventative maintenance programs that maximize vehicle reliability and longevity. \nPlan and schedule maintenance workloads while balancing operational demands, staffing resources, and budgets.\nOversee vehicle inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and servicing activities. \nDevelop and maintain vehicle tracking systems and fleet maintenance records.\nEnsure all vehicle documentation, including registrations, insurance, inspections, and maintenance files, are current and properly maintained. \nTrack, analyze, and report maintenance trends, risks, costs, and vehicle performance metrics. \nReview driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and ensure identified deficiencies are corrected.\nTrain drivers and maintenance personnel on vehicle inspection procedures and fleet safety practices.\nEstablish and maintain relationships with repair vendors, parts suppliers, and service providers to ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions. \nEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FTA, ADA, client, and company standards. \nMaintain a safe, clean, and professional maintenance facility environment. \nIdentify operational risks and make recommendations to improve fleet performance and reduce maintenance costs.\nSupport startup activities, vehicle deployment planning, and fleet expansion initiatives for new business opportunities.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh School Diploma or GED. \nBachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. \nMinimum five (5) years of automotive, fleet, diesel, or transportation maintenance experience. \nMinimum one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience. \nExperience managing preventative maintenance programs and vehicle maintenance schedules. \nKnowledge of vehicle inspection programs and maintenance reporting systems. \nValid driver's license. \nPreferred\nPrevious management experience overseeing fleet maintenance operations. \nTransit or paratransit fleet maintenance experience.\nKnowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA, and OSHA regulations. \nExperience supervising technicians or hourly personnel.\nExperience with vendor management and repair network development. \nASE Certification or other industry-recognized maintenance certifications.\nExperience supporting startup operations and fleet implementation projects.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of fleet maintenance operations and preventative maintenance practices. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. \nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong organizational and recordkeeping skills. \nKnowledge of maintenance management systems, fleet reporting, and asset tracking.\nAbility to coach, train, and develop employees. \nCommitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. \nAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality. \nTravel\nLocal and overnight travel may be required. \nCandidates may be required to operate a company or rental vehicle in accordance with company policy and motor vehicle standards. \nWhy Apply to This Evergreen Requisition?\nBy joining our Fleet Maintenance leadership talent pipeline, you will:\nReceive consideration for future opportunities as contracts are awarded.\nConnect with recruiters and operational leaders regarding upcoming positions.\nBe considered for opportunities supporting fleets of varying sizes across multiple markets.\nJoin a growing organization committed to safety, reliability, innovation, and operational excellence.\nPlease note: This posting is intended to build a talent pool for anticipated future business opportunities.
