Together, we thrive, push our limits, and work as team to help you reach your full potential.\nWhat will your job look like?\nTheManager, Operations will play a key role in the management, training, and development of transit staff and implementation of short and long-term strategic processes. The Manager, Operations will oversee all aspects of the operations staff, primarily the drivers, maintenance, and dispatch staff to ensure that the daily operations and needs of the client are effective, efficient, and are completed based on contractual requirements. The Manager, Operations will strive to ensure the safest and highest quality transportation experience for our passengers while operating within the budget of the contract.\nThis position is dependent on the award of contract.\nLocation: LaVerne, San Dimas, and Claremont\nService: Pomona Valley Transit Authority\nWhat you’ll do:\nOversight of Transit Drivers, Dispatchers, and operations employees and their daily performance, to ensure safe, efficient, effective operation, including scheduling, expenditures, attendance and discipline\nPerform monthly Safety meetings\nTraining, retraining and updates to policies, procedures and safety guidelines\nPerform Driver evaluations as required by contract, as well as ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements\nCommunicate regularly with client to ensure positive productive relationship, and to assist them with updates, information, and system upgrades as needed\nPerform additional duties as assigned or required\nMonitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance\nWhat you’ll need:\nExperience, Education & Certifications:\nBachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field\n5+ years of experience in transit management\nPrevious management experience in the Para-Transit or livery industries preferred\nPrevious experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilities\nExperience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment\nExperience training in a classroom and behind the wheel setting\nExperience in managing a Union environment preferred\nSkills:\nStrong problem solving skills\nAbility to understand and administer discipline\nKnowledge of basic safety and training procedures\nMap reading, two-way radio communication and driving experience preferably in a demand responsive service environment\nCapabilities as it relates to data analytics preferred\nThorough knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations preferred\nAbility to maintain high level of confidentiality\nRegular attendance is required\nWhat’s in it for you:\nHealth and Life Insurance Plans\nDental and Vision Plans\n401(k) with a company match\nPaid Time Off and Holiday Pay\nMaternity/Paternity Leave\nCasual Dress Environment\nTuition Reimbursement\nMTM Perks Discount Program \nLeadership Mentoring Opportunities \nSalary Min: $72,000/ annually\nSalary Max: $103,000/ annually\nThis information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
