This is what we want you to experience with us!\n\nKey Tasks\n\nManage, integrate and lead Network Operations processes, technologies, products and customer segments, aligning strategic intent with the resources required for effective execution.\nLead operational and financial efficiencies, including the application of Artificial Intelligence, and develop an integrated Network Operations plan aligned with the Home Business.\nOversee implementation of the Network Operations strategy and provide leadership and technical guidance to the Operations teams.\nLead change initiatives across Network Operations and the wider Technology organisation.\nEnsure network capacity is introduced smoothly and capacity utilisation is optimised to support customer growth and asset value.\nLead the development, review and enforcement of Network Operations policies, processes, procedures and Change Control Board requirements.\nKeep abreast of local and global Network Operations and maintenance best practices through research, conferences, seminars and communities of practice.\nProvide input into Network financial planning, budget management, expenditure control and the effective use of Network Operations CAPEX and OPEX.\nLead supplier and vendor negotiations, conclude contractual agreements and manage delivery to meet business and regulatory requirements.\nAssess the impact of telecommunications regulations, laws and impending announcements on the business and recommend appropriate actions.\nEvaluate implementation of the operational strategy and develop initiatives to address operational gaps.\nEnsure qualified vendors are contracted and appropriate Network Operations expenditure is maintained.\n\nEducation:\n\nMinimum of a Postgraduate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.\n\nExperience:\n\nMinimum of ten (10) years' experience, with at least five (5) years at Senior Managerial level, in a GSM/WCDMA/Fixed Mobile environment covering Network Operations and Maintenance.\nExperience managing a diverse technical team at management level and interfacing and negotiating with multiple operators and vendors.\nExperience in financial budget planning, expenditure control and contract negotiations.\n\nProfessional/Technical Competencies:\n\nTelecommunications principles across GSM, WCDMA and Fixed environments, including switching, transmission, radio, IP and environmental systems.\nProject, operations, maintenance and implementation/integration management across GSM, WCDMA, IP and MPLS environments.\nInternational telecommunications industry knowledge.\nFinancial planning, annual budgeting, budget management and expenditure control.\nVendor and contractor management and contract negotiation.\nCommercial acumen and risk management.\nApplication of technological advances, including Artificial Intelligence.\nMicrosoft Office Suite.\n\nSkills/Physical Competencies:\n\nAssertive and influential, with strong and timely decision-making capability.\nCustomer-centric, collaborative and effective in stakeholder engagement.\nStrong negotiation, leadership and people-management skills.\nInnovative, proactive and results oriented.\nHigh integrity, accountability and ethical conduct.\nStrong planning, prioritization and knowledge-sharing skills.\nStrong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.\nStrategic, analytical and problem-solving capability.\n\nMust live the MTN Values of\n\nLead with Care, Collaborate with Agility, Serve with Respect, Can Do with Integrity, Act with Inclusion.\n\nMust exhibit the MTN Vital Behaviors of\n\nComplete Candor, Complete Accountability, Active Collaboration & Get it done\nInnovation as a way of work\n\nHow to Apply\n\nApplicants should indicate Ref number MTN-NWG-GMNO001-2026 as the email subject and ensure that CVs are saved in their names\nApplicants should send their Curriculum Vitae by 21st October 2026 to: \nValues are the core of MTN's Culture, our five values called \"Live Y’ello\" is the force that unites and inspires each of us to make an impact that matters in the world.
