Senior Contracts Manager (Beijing)

Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team to deliver procurement, tendering, contract administration and commercial management services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
Oversee the tendering process, evaluate commercial and contractual submissions, and make recommendations for contract awards
Administer major contracts and consultancies, including claims management, contract interpretation, cost control and extension of time assessments
Review and verify interim payments, variations, claims and final accounts to ensure timely and accurate contract administration
Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to resolve contractual, commercial and risk management issues
Monitor project costs, contractual performance and claims, providing professional advice and recommendations to support project delivery objectives
Requirements
Degree in Engineering / Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in contract administration for railway or large-scale infrastructure projects, of which 4 years should be at managerial level
Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution
Proven experience in contract management, claims assessment and dispute resolution
Strong leadership and analytical with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Remarks
Appointment will be made on two-year renewable terms
Required to be stationed in Beijing, China
