Join us and you’ll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for its brilliance.\nPosition Summary:\nThis position is responsible for performing mechanical engineering work related to the integration of power generation equipment in customer projects in connection with Project System Business.\nKey Accountabilities:\nWorks on project design and development for new or existing products.\nManage the overall PSB Scope and site / building integration.\nDesigns walk-in enclosures and housing for generator sets, KPP, BESS, or other systems as needed\nDefine System requirements with clients do or coordinate engineering related to ventilation air flow design including static pressure calculations and sound attenuation but also exhaust, fuel and water piping in accordance with industry codes and standards.\nDevelop complete PSB scope from initial ideas to onsite delivery of systems.\nManage customer requirements and manage design scope and changes.\nVerifies and confirms manufacturing drawings, P&I diagrams, schematics, data sheets and similar drawings for compliance with design specifications.\nResearch and analyze requirements from various engineering standards, contracts and proposal documents.\nPrepare engineering calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable codes, contract requirements, while utilizing industry standard/Rolls-Royce Solutions America standards\nPrepare and finalize equipment specifications for major equipment.\nSelect effective design concepts and fundamental technology for new products or improvement of existing products\nReview and compare customer specifications against MTU designs and equipment vendor proposals.\nLead or participate bid leveling exercises on vender proposals with purchasing\nComplete work according to standard engineering principles and practices.\nResponsible for following RRSA procedures per the company’s quality system.\nAdvise and mentor associate engineers.\nBe the Liaison between sales, internal engineering, project management, and venders\nCreate and deliver effective presentations to executive management as well as site teams\nReview control systems and schemes\nBasic Requirements:\nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Application Engineering, Combustion Engineering or and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience with design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing engineering; or 7 years of mechanical engineering experience with design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing engineering.\nWillingness to travel for business trips up to 30%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of design and system capabilities\nExcellent applied knowledge about reciprocating internal combustion engines used in genset applications including exhaust treatment technologies\nStrong ability to read and interpret P&I diagrams and manufacturing drawings.\nFundamental knowledge of AC and DC electricity\nAbility to read and understand mechanical drawings such as single line diagrams and point to point drawings\nExperience in mechanical systems control systems\nStrong ability to take initiative and work independently.\nStrong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.\nStrong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and explain those conclusions to management in form of presentations\nStrong computer Skills: MS Office suite, BIM360, drafting tools, CAD software\nSocial Skills: Dependability, Versatility, Flexibility, and Team Oriented\nCommissioning, testing or site inspection experience\nComputer Skills: SAP, Windchill, Creo, MS Project, & collaboration tools\nControl systems, PLC, parameter changes\nConsulting engineering in MEP or structural capacity\nProfessional Engineer license [any state]\nOSHA30 certificate [ or ability to complete on line training within 60 days of start\nProject experience\nRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
