Join us and you’ll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for its brilliance.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Quality Engineer - New Product Introduction will ensure the highest standards of quality are integrated into the design and development of new genset products at Rolls-Royce, Mankato. This role is pivotal in enhancing product reliability, supporting innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations to maintain customer satisfaction and brand reputation.\nKey Accountabilities:\nNPI Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans specifically tailored for new product introductions, ensuring that quality is embedded from the initial design phase through to production.\nDesign for Quality: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to incorporate quality considerations into product designs, using tools such as Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Oversee & facilitate the PFMEA process.\nPrototype Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing and validation of prototypes to ensure they statistically & confidently meet quality standards and performance specifications before full-scale production.\nLaunch Readiness Assessment: Conduct quality assessments to ensure that all quality criteria are met before product launch, minimizing the risk of defects and ensuring a smooth market entry. Timely escalation of quality concerns to Sr. management.\nPost-Launch Quality Monitoring: Monitor product quality post-launch to identify any emerging issues and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.\nPromote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.\nPerform special projects as required\nBasic Requirements:\nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time\nBachelors’ degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering plus 3 years quality engineering experience with large industrial equipment or 7 years quality engineering with large industrial equipment.\nAbility to work flexible hours or shifts\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of large industrial equipment.\nStrong knowledge of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of large industrial equipment.\nKnowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, UL 2200 and CSA.\nFamiliar with plant operations and equipment\nKnowledge of MTU components and products\nKnowledge of genset performance requirements\nKnowledge of gauge and test equipment\nRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
