This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, grounded in direct customer insight from the owner-operators and small fleets we serve, and accelerated by a data-driven, AI-forward approach to product development.\nWork Location: This role is based in Palo Alto, CA and involves a hybrid work approach, balancing in-office collaboration with the ability to work remotely.\nTo support our team, we offer:\nCommuter benefits to ease your travel\n\nLunches and snacks to keep you fueled\n\nA collaborative, high-growth environment where you’ll work closely with talented teammates across the company\n\nExpectations (In this role, you will):\nOwn key surfaces across Mudflap’s app and card products, focusing on onboarding, activation, engagement, and monetization.\n\nIdentify and prioritize growth opportunities through funnel analysis, customer research, and product intuition.\n\nLead rapid experimentation cycles (A/B tests, feature iterations, onboarding improvements) with clear hypotheses and measurable success metrics.\n\nDevelop and execute a roadmap of growth initiatives, balancing new bets with improvements to existing customer journeys.\n\nPartner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, high-trust product experiences.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Data, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support to deliver cohesive end-to-end growth initiatives.\n\nEngage directly with truckers and fleet operators to understand workflows, constraints, and motivations that influence product adoption.\n\nDefine, track, and communicate key growth metrics, using data and experimentation results to guide product decisions.\n\nLeverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate product discovery, experimentation, and development, and identify opportunities to incorporate AI into Mudflap’s product experience.\n\nExperience (What we look for):\n5+ years of product management experience with meaningful ownership of customer-facing products (mobile or web).\n\nDemonstrated success driving product-led growth through experimentation, iteration, and measurable improvements in key metrics.\n\nStrong understanding of onboarding flows, activation mechanics, and engagement loops.\n\nComfortable working with data, including funnel analysis, cohort retention, and experimentation results.\n\nExperience partnering closely with engineering, design, data, and marketing to ship high-quality product experiences.\n\nExcellent prioritization, communication, and execution skills in fast-moving environments.\n\nTrack record of translating customer insights and data into impactful product improvements.\n\nHands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate product development, analysis, or experimentation, and curiosity about applying AI to create better product experiences.\n\nBonus: experience building for SMBs, marketplaces, fintech, logistics, or independent operators.\n\nPlease note: We are unable to provide employment visa sponsorship or transfer existing employment visa sponsorship for this position at this time.\nPerks and Benefits (What we offer):\nCompetitive salary and equity in a high-growth startup\n\nMultiple health benefit options\n\nResponsible Time Off\n\n401(k) matching\n\nOpportunities and support for major career growth\n\nAnnual Company offsite event (Mudfest!)\n\nThe salary range for this role is $180,000 - $235,000 + equity.
