This role will include, but not limited to running the indirect extrusion press, material handling associated with the movement of material throughout the entire facility. Join our team and grow with us!\nCOMPANY DESCRIPTION\nMueller Brass South – Brass rod manufacturing facility.\nDIVISION / DEPARTMENT\nManufacturing\nTYPE OF POSITION\nFull Time\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS\nSetup, run and operate a hydraulic indirect extrusion press. Team member will be responsible for all aspects of the process (Loading, Running, Trouble shooting, Maintenance, Tooling, Quality, housekeeping, and safety) related to the manufacturing process.\nTeam members are expected to take initiative and work collaborative across the entire manufacturing process. \nPerform visual inspections of material and equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability.\nConfer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience working with hot metal.\nUnderstanding of basic hydraulics.\nRunning a forklift and other material handling equipment.\nGood basic Mathematical skills.\nEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum of 1 year experience running a hydraulic press, but 3-5 years preferred.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nLifting, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending in fast-paced production facility.\nCOMPANY BENEFITS\nComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you healthy.\nA robust 401(k) with company match to assist in securing your financial future.\nCompany-provided life insurance and AD&D policies\nPaid time off.\nNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
