We invite you to learn more about career opportunities with us and consider submitting your application.\n\nVacancy Disclosure:\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization that we are actively seeking to fill.\n\nProject ManagerOverview:\nEchologics, a world leader in Leak Detection and Condition Assessment of Water Mains requires a Project Manager I (PM) with experience within the Project Management team to conduct and manage leak detection and condition assessment projects for water pipelines.\nThis role will be instrumental in successfully applying PM best practices to manage our rapidly growing volume of work. The successful candidate will lead a broad range of projects within Canada and US. This role requires project management, team building and technical experience in engineering and underground infrastructure industries.\nThe PM is an integral member of the project management team responsible for delivering projects of small to medium size, with a primary responsibility of the execution and ultimately the completion of projects. This role will participate in project planning, scheduling, field work, organizing and controlling delivery activities, and ongoing governance and reporting activities.\nThey will be responsible for maintaining productive and positive relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders, including customers, the sales team, and the Project Management team.\nRequired Education & Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or Science\nKnowledge of Project Management tools and techniques\n2+ years of project management experience, ideally in underground infrastructure industries\nAt least one year of work experience with a client-centric role in engineering services within the water industry focused on managing projects\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Competencies:\nFamiliarity with leak detection and condition assessment technology\nExcellent organizational and analytical skills\nInterpersonal, communications and negotiating skills to build positive relationships and resolve issues with supporting groups and individuals and external contacts\nAbility to handle many complex and rapidly changing tasks in parallel\nProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project\nThese are considered assets:\nProject Management training\nIn pursuit of PMP and/or P.Eng.\nFamiliarity with water distribution systems, or experience in utility industries\nBasic accounting knowledge\nResponsibilities:\nProject management - initiate, plan, execute, monitor progress, and close projects within predefined time, cost, and scope\nManage project scope, forecast revenue, reduce risk, monitor project budget, costs, and margins to meet targets\nOversee and conduct leak detection surveys of distribution water mains and transmission main leak detection studies\nOversee and support project teams performing Leak Detection and Condition assessment which includes a mix of administrative tasks, client management, project management and field work\nClient management and ensuring excellent customer service\nAssist more senior engineers and project managers in complex projects\nOutline the human and equipment resources required to successfully complete their projects\nAssist managers in scheduling staff for multiple concurrent projects\nManage the installation and commissioning of mobile monitoring systems for transmission pipelines\nAdministrative duties such as scheduling, forecasting, time tracking, expense tracking, purchasing, and project documentation\nTrouble shoot problems from customer, site, technical and people management perspectives\nUtilize Project Management tools such as MS Project, or templates as needed\nUtilize existing vendors for projects (traffic control, pothole creation, outside tech support, etc.)\nDeal professionally with staff, customers, external contractors, and other industry contacts\nWork in compliance with all health and safety and environmental legislation including, but not limited to, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Echologics’ Policies, Procedures and MWP Code of Conduct\nBeing accountable for the health and safety of his/her employees and actively promote health and safety to his/her employees.
