The role is responsible for ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for resiliency, auditability, and regulatory compliance, while driving automation and integration with emerging AI-enabled operational capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport design, implementation, enhancement, and lifecycle management of enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Commvault and/or NetBackup platforms. \nMaintain enterprise storage solutions spanning SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and Cloud-integrated storage services. \nEnsure backup and recovery services support business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience requirements. \nDefine and maintain platform roadmaps, technology standards, and engineering best practices aligned with MUFG strategic objectives. \nProvide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for backup and storage technologies across the APAC infrastructure landscape. \nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve resiliency, efficiency, and risk management. \nOperational Resilience & Service Reliability\nEnsure platform services consistently meet established Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), Recovery Point Objectives (RPO), availability, and operational performance targets. \nLead recovery validation exercises, disaster recovery testing, and resilience assessments to verify recoverability of critical applications and infrastructure. \nProactively identify and remediate platform risks, technical debt, capacity constraints, and service vulnerabilities. \nDrive platform stability, availability, and service excellence through continuous service improvement initiatives. \nThis role operates in the Singapore Time zone.\nAutomation & Innovation\nDevelop and implement automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python, APIs, and orchestration technologies. \nIntegrate intelligent operational capabilities, analytics, and AI-driven solutions to strengthen predictive maintenance, monitoring, service optimization, and operational efficiency. \nChampion Infrastructure-as-Code, automated provisioning, and standardized operational processes where applicable. \nReduce manual effort and operational risk through workflow automation and process optimization. \nGovernance, Risk & Compliance\nEnsure all backup and storage services operate in compliance with MUFG policies, technology standards, cybersecurity controls, and regulatory requirements. \nMaintain comprehensive technical documentation, architectural artefacts, operational procedures, and support models. \nSupport internal, external, regulatory, and management audits through evidence preparation, control validation, and remediation tracking. \nPartner with Risk Management, Information Security, Architecture, and Compliance teams to ensure effective control implementation and policy adherence. \nManage findings, risk treatments, and corrective actions in accordance with established governance processes. \nStakeholder & Vendor Management\nCollaborate with application, infrastructure, security, cloud, and business technology teams to ensure backup and recovery requirements are incorporated throughout solution lifecycles. \nEngage with regional and global stakeholders to align technology solutions with business and regulatory needs. \nManage strategic vendor relationships, technology partners, and support providers to ensure service quality and contractual compliance. \nProvide clear communication on service performance, operational risks, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders. \nJob Requirements:\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. \nRelevant industry certifications in backup, storage, cloud, or infrastructure technologies are advantageous. \nProfessional Experience\nMinimum 8 years of experience in enterprise backup, recovery, and storage engineering within large-scale enterprise environments. \nProven experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure in highly regulated industries such as banking, financial services, or similar sectors. \nDemonstrated experience in enterprise solution design, implementation, and operational management. \nTechnical Skills\nStrong expertise in Commvault and/or NetBackup administration and engineering. \nDeep understanding of SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and enterprise storage architectures. \nExperience with Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud-integrated infrastructure platforms. \nStrong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and orchestration frameworks. \nWorking knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, backup governance, and operational resilience
