Overview

The Finance Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of the ERPLN Upgrade Project through the analysis, documentation, and improvement of finance processes across the business. The role partners with key stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose system, process, and reporting solutions.

The position contributes to current-state assessment, future-state process design, and the identification of opportunities to standardise and automate processes. The role also supports data readiness activities, training, and user acceptance testing.

This role supports the ERP transition through finance process design, data migration readiness, clear documentation, training, and change management activities that enable business readiness and user adoption.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Analyse current-state finance processes and support the design of future-state processes aligned with ERPLN capabilities.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardisation, automation, and process improvement.
  • Develop and document current state and future-state process maps and operating procedures aligned to ERP capabilities
  • Development of consistent design processes across global regions.
  • Support fit-gap analysis between business requirements and ERP functionality.
  • Define reporting requirements and dashboards to support business decision making
  • Support assessment and design of chart of accounts, cost centre, and financial dimension to enable scalable finance reporting and process alignment.

Operational Management

  • Gather, document, and validate business and ERP requirements with Finance, Procurement, Project Management, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with master data identification, cleansing, standardisation, migration, and validation.
  • Support cutover planning and migration readiness activities.
  • Coordinate testing cycles with business users and track defects and issues.
  • Support SIT/UAT planning, test script preparation, defect triage, and retesting.
  • Validate system outputs against financial and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare training materials, SOPs, user guides, and onboarding support materials.
  • Support change management activities before, during and after go-live phase including communications, issue tracking and user adoption support.

People Leadership

  • Act as the liaison between Finance SMEs, IT teams, implementation partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, process walkthroughs, and requirements validation sessions.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, change management, communications, and user readiness.
  • Assist in delivering training sessions and supporting user onboarding.
  • Build alignment across teams by translating finance requirements into practical system and process solutions.
  • Engage with global stakeholders to promote consistent process design across regions.
  • Governance & Risk
  • Ensure finance process design supports SOX compliance and audit control requirements.
  • Work with SMEs to define data governance standards and naming conventions.
  • Support data mapping and validation to reduce migration and reporting risks.
  • Track testing defects and support issue resolution to mitigate go-live risks.

Experience & Personal Attributes

Experience

  • 5-7 years experience
  • Strong understanding of finance processes in a services organisation
  • Experience working on ERP implementations
  • Knowledge of financial data structures
  • Familiarity with data migration and reconciliation processes
  • Understanding of audit controls and SOX compliance (desired)
  • Experience in process improvement and transformation initiatives
