As part of a local technology function, this role is expected to provide broad coverage across system development, application configuration, data extraction, reporting and operational support to ensure effective service delivery, reduce key-person dependency and strengthen business continuity.\nThe role will work closely with Technology, Operations, Business Analysis, Risk and external vendors to deliver scalable, secure and maintainable solutions aligned with business needs, operational priorities, internal technology standards and applicable regulatory requirements.\nKey Accountabilities and main responsibilities\nStrategic Focus\nSupport system enhancement, reporting, automation and digital initiatives across the Retirement Solutions platform.\nContribute to scalable, maintainable and secure system solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and local business needs.\nHelp strengthen HK technology capability by supporting cross-functional coverage across data, reporting, configuration and development activities.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, improve reporting efficiency and enhance system resilience.\nOperational Management\nSystem Analysis & Requirements\nAnalyze business, operational and system requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.\nValidate requirements with relevant stakeholders to ensure they reflect real business needs, are clearly documented and can be delivered within agreed quality standards.\nWork with Business Analysts, Operations and Technology teams to clarify scope, dependencies, data needs and implementation approach.\nDevelopment, Configuration & Integration\nPerform hands-on coding, system development and configuration for business applications.\nDesign, develop, test and deploy application features, enhancements, bug fixes and configuration changes.\nConfigure systems and support integration with internal and external platforms, vendors and service providers.\nSupport API, database and interface-related analysis, troubleshooting and implementation activities.\nWork within established SDLC, change management and DevOps practices, including code review, release support and deployment documentation.\nData, Reporting & Automation\nSupport data extraction, SQL queries, data mapping, reconciliation and reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders.\nAssist in developing reports, dashboards, automation routines and data outputs to support business operations and management reporting.\nInvestigate data issues, reporting variances and exception trends, and work with relevant teams to resolve root causes.\nMaintain documentation for data logic, report definitions, configuration settings and technical processes to support continuity and knowledge transfer.\nTesting, Support & Continuous Improvement\nPerform unit testing and support defect resolution during SIT/UAT and production implementation activities.\nCollaborate with Testers, Business Analysts and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with approved requirements and quality standards\nSupport incident resolution, post-implementation review and continuous improvement of application stability and operational processes.\nMaintain technical specifications, configuration documents, user/support guides and other system documentation.\nPeople Leadership\nCollaborate effectively with Technology, Operations, Business Analysis, Risk and vendor teams.\nShare knowledge across the team to reduce single-person dependency and improve continuity of support.\nProvide technical guidance and support to junior team members where required.\nContribute to a culture of accountability, documentation, continuous learning and cross-skilling.\nGovernance & Risk\nEnsure development, configuration, data and reporting activities comply with internal IT standards, security requirements and change governance.\nMaintain system security, data integrity and appropriate controls over system changes, configuration and reporting outputs.\nSupport audit, risk assessment and control activities relating to application changes, data usage and system processes.\nEnsure documentation is maintained to support operational resilience, knowledge transfer and business continuity.\nThe above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs.\nExperience & Personal Attributes\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in system analysis, application development, data/reporting, configuration or related technology roles.\nHands-on programming experience in Java, .NET, Python or similar technologies.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with databases, data extraction, data mapping and reporting outputs.\nExperience in application configuration, system integration, APIs and interface support.\nExperience with reporting or analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS/SSIS, Alteryx or similar would be advantageous.\nGood understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, DevOps practices and change/release management.\nExperience supporting testing activities, including unit testing, SIT, UAT and defect resolution.\nAbility to troubleshoot system, data and reporting issues and perform root cause analysis.\nExperience in financial services, pensions, MPF/ORSO, retirement solutions or regulated environments would be advantageous.\nStrong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently with moderate supervision while collaborating effectively across teams.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders.\nWillingness to broaden technical capability across development, configuration, data and reporting to support team resilience and
