All of our students follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) beginning in PK3, and personalised, student-centred learning is at the heart of everything we do.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment, where low student-teacher ratios, outstanding resources, and a technology-rich campus create truly exceptional learning conditions. Through our co-teaching model, every K-2 classroom is staffed with both a Lead Teacher and an Associate Teacher, allowing for meaningful differentiation and personalised instruction.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou will work closely with Lead Teachers and Learner Support Coordinators to enhance student learning and well-being through:\nSupporting the planning and implementation of engaging daily learning experiences\nActively differentiating and personalising instruction\nProviding academic, social, and emotional support for students\nContributing to assessment and evaluation of student progress\nHelping students become self-regulated, confident learners\nCreating and maintaining an organised, welcoming classroom environment\nSupporting PYP implementation and ongoing development\nParticipating in collaborative planning, staff meetings, and professional learning\nAssisting with Before and After-School Care (ASC) supervision\nSupporting Specialist teachers, school events, assemblies, and student-led conferences\nGetting involved in the co-curricular programme for at least two terms\nOccasionally TOC-ing in other classrooms, including PK\nDeveloping and reviewing a Teacher Professional Growth Plan (TPGP) with your coach\nWho You Are\nCandidates must:\nBe legally entitled to work in Canada\nMeet all BC teaching certification requirements\nHold a valid, age-appropriate First Aid Certificate\nSuccessful candidates will:\nHave a strong desire to work with children\nBe eager to grow their career in education\nActively engage with current educational research and best practice\nUse technology to enhance learning\nDemonstrate flexibility, collaboration, and initiative\nBe open to feedback and committed to continuous growth\nModel the values of Mulgrave’s mission, vision, and culture\nWork Hours\n8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with occasional extensions on:Club days (to 4:30 pm)\nAfter-School Care days (to 5:00 pm)\n\nAvailability for new student assessments on one or two Saturdays per year is required\nOur Commitment to Inclusion\nWe are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
