This position is responsible for the duties listed below along with related functions. The Corporate Assistant Quality Manager-Remote should be knowledgeable about quality and safety regulations and best practices within the construction environment and be able to engage and advise the job site leadership relative to Mullins mechanical quality program.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nConduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality management system.\nAssist in the implementation of inspecting, testing, and evaluating methods of construction.\nEnsure fabrication and installation efforts adhere to quality standards.\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas of improvement and implement change.\nIdentify, document, and approve corrective actions for non-conforming products or processes.\nMaintain clear and effective communication with internal and external parties.\nEnsure customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and incorporating customer feedback into key performance indicators.\nAnalyze problems, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence.\nTrain staff on quality standards and best practices.\nCreate and document non-conformance reports and logs.\nAssist in creating processes and procedures for quality department.\nTest welders and perform weld inspections under varies welding codes.\nReview client requirements and ensure specifications are met.\nFollow Project Quality Assurance Plans.\nCreate inspection and test plans (I&TP’s)\nCommitted to Mullins core values and safety policies.\nSkills/Qualifications:\nHave a current AWS CWI and/or ASNT VT II and/ or API 510/570 or can obtain first year of employment.\nExtensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).\nUnderstanding of the following codes: ASME, AWS, ISO, ASTM, NBIC, SMACNA, ASHRAE, IPC, NACE, AISC.\nEfficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and/ or Project management software (Procore).\nStrong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.\nPossess strong leadership skills to influence and motivate teams.\nExperience performing quality audits on internal and external parties.\nExtensive knowledge of reading and understanding construction drawings.\nExcellent time management skills.\nAbility to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.\nAbility to manage and train quality personnel.\nAbility to travel for long periods of time.\nSelf-motivated with the drive to learn and grow.\nMust be able to work in a team environment.\nExperience:\n5+ years in a quality leadership role\n3+ years performing quality audits\nExperience working under a quality management system.\nExperience with HVAC, plumbing, and/or process piping systems.\nExtensive knowledge in Microsoft programs and construction project management software.\nExtensive knowledge of various codes and standards.\nExperience managing multiple projects at a corporate level.\nPotential Hazard:\nWorking outside in extreme weather conditions\nExposure to loud noises and abnormal odors\nConfined space work\nWorking in areas with overhead activities\nWorking from heights using ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts\nEssential Requirements:\nComply with all company policies and procedures.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nClimbing up and down stairs and ladders while working on scaffolds and in trenches to access work.\nLifting up to 50 pounds\nWalking on uneven terrain for extended periods\nStanding for extended periods\nThe use of respirators if required by projects.\nDriving is required to travel to and from locations.\nOccasionally may need to kneel, reach, or stoop.\nIf driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required.
