This role is essential to ensuring efficient printing production by guaranteeing that the appropriate tools are available when required by the press and by maintaining timely communication with the production team to minimize downtime.\nWhy work at MCC: \nGenerous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) \nPaid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus 2 floating Holidays \nResponsibilities: \nRegular and predictable attendance, including logging in and out of time worked \nComplies with all company and safety policies and procedures \nMake flexographic/litho plates \nMake Rotary Screens \nResponsible for the critical evaluation of all plates/screens made and completes appropriate QA check lists \nResponsible for maintaining Plate and Screen Tracking Logs \nVerifies information on Plate Envelope is correct \nResponsible for cleaning and maintaining platemaking room/screen room and equipment \nResponsible for completing preventive maintenance in accordance to set schedule and need \nCoordinates plate priorities with Scheduling, Graphics Coordinator, or Graphics Supervisor \nMaintains components-to-press schedules to understand priorities and mark completion of jobs or flags \nParticipate in continuous improvement / Kaizen teams \nAttends department meetings and internal training classes \nParticipates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned \nQualifications: \nHS Diploma or GED is required; College degree strongly preferred, ideally related to the printing industry \nPrint manufacturing experience preferred \nTechnical expertise in flexo, rotary screen and general printing processes \nExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks \nKnowledge of color separations, press layouts, print specifications \nProficiency in MS Office applications \nRadius job management software experience is a plus \nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment \nSelf-starter with strong organizational and planning skills \nRequires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames \nMust have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly.
