With 100+ manufacturing sites, and 12,000+ employees, we are the Global #1 for prime labels.\nSummary of the role\nThe QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, customer complaint management, calibration systems, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure all labels and packaging products meet MCC standards and customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Incoming Raw Material Quality Control\nEnsure all incoming raw materials, including paper, film, inks, adhesives, and packaging materials, are inspected according to established specifications and quality standards.\nReview inspection results and communicate non-conformities to Purchasing and relevant stakeholders.\nCoordinate with Warehouse/Raw Material Store personnel to quarantine defective materials pending disposition.\nSupport vendor quality management activities, including Vendor Corrective Action Requests (VCAR) and supplier performance monitoring.\nDrive continuous improvement with suppliers to enhance incoming material quality.\n2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)\nLead and supervise IPQC activities to ensure products comply with approved specifications and customer requirements.\nEnsure first article/sample approvals are conducted prior to production release.\nMonitor production processes through routine patrol audits and process verification.\nAnalyze quality data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.\nCoordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations and non-conformances.\nProvide guidance and technical support to production personnel on quality-related matters.\n3. Final Product Quality Assurance\nVerify finished labels and packaging products meet customer specifications, artwork requirements, color standards, and quality acceptance criteria.\nEnsure all required quality records and documentation are completed and maintained.\nSupport product release activities and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards.\n4. Customer Complaint Management\nInvestigate customer complaints and quality incidents in a timely manner.\nPerform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA methodologies.\nCoordinate containment actions, sorting activities, product replacement, and corrective actions when required.\nCommunicate investigation results and corrective actions to customers within agreed timelines.\nMonitor complaint trends and drive preventive improvement initiatives.\n5. Regulatory and Compliance Management\nRespond to customer requests related to product compliance requirements, including RoHS, REACH, FDA, and other applicable regulations.\nMaintain quality management system documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.\nParticipate in internal, customer, and external audits.\nEnsure compliance with company environmental, health, safety, and sustainability requirements.\n6. Calibration and Inspection Equipment Control\nMaintain the master list of measuring and testing equipment.\nEnsure all inspection and measurement equipment are calibrated before due dates.\nCoordinate with external calibration service providers and maintain calibration records.\nVerify equipment suitability and effectiveness for quality inspections.\n7. Continuous Improvement and Quality Projects\nSupport QA Manager in implementing quality improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects.\nAnalyze quality performance indicators and recommend improvement actions.\nParticipate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, GMP, and Operational Excellence activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency, process capability, and product quality.\nLead or support cross-functional quality improvement projects.\n8. Training and Quality Awareness\nConduct quality training programs for inspectors, operators, and relevant staff.\nPromote quality awareness and best practices throughout the organization.\nAssist in developing work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection standards.\n9.
