If your purpose and passions align with ours, you’ll find a place to grow, do meaningful work and build a career you love in a community that feels like home.\nFTE: 1.0, Shift: Day\nPosition Summary\nThe Mobile Building Engineer will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.Responsibilities:\nOversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.\nReview assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.\nImplement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.\nReview inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.\nOversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.\nApply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.\nCoach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.\nOversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.\nPerforms furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.\nResponds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.\nPossess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks\nPossess necessary skills to functionally operate a \"full size\" van/truck\nCertification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office & CMMS)\nStrong communication skills\nWhy MultiCare?\nRooted in the local community\nPartnering with patients, families and neighbors across the Pacific Northwest for more than 140 years.\nGrowth and education\nCompetitive tuition assistance, award-winning residencies, fellowships and career development to invest in you.\nWell-being and support\nGenerous PTO, Code Lavender and Employee Assistance Programs to help you maintain balance and feel cared in your work and life.\nLiving our values\nRespect, integrity, kindness and collaboration guide how we care for patients, communities and each other.\nBelonging for all\nResource Groups and outreach programs help ensure every team member feels safe, seen, heard and valued.\nPacific Northwest lifestyle\nWork and live where natural beauty, adventure and strong community connections are part of everyday life.\nPay and Benefit Expectations\nWe provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $37.25 - $53.59 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
