In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.Responsibilities:\nYou will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the gas and electric boilers, HVAC, air compressors, pumps, emergency generators, and other auxiliary equipment\nYou will engage your technical expertise with independent problem solving and attention to detail\nYou will perform tasks pertaining to the boiler room and steam distribution system\nYou will perform rounds and inspections of machine rooms and roof areas\nYou will communicate effectively with your team\nYou will engage with a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and attention to detail\nRequirements:\nHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred\nCity of Tacoma Operating Engineer License (or obtain license within 90 days of hire)\nMedical gas ASSE 6040 certifications obtained within 18 months of hire\nAccomplished in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenance\nMinimum six (6) years of experience directly related to operations and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systems\nMinimum two (2) years of experience with Computer and EMCS (Energy Management Control System)\nValid Washington State driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state\nAdditional Requirements for Mary Bridge Children's Hospital Include:\nCompletion of Vocational Trade/Tech certification program or Certificate of Licensure in the identified areas\nCity of Tacoma Operating Engineer License III required within 12 months of hire\nMedical gas ASSE 6040 certification after hire\nASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hire\nOn Call Required\nWhere kids and families are always first\nEverything we do starts with a commitment to children and families. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $62.51 - $62.51 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
