You will focus on maintaining accurate records of customer transactions and ensuring timely collections of outstanding debts. Your attention to detail and strong organisational skills will help streamline our financial processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess and reconcile customer invoices and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nMonitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients to facilitate timely payment.\nMaintain accurate and updated records of customer account balances and payment histories.\nPrepare and send statements, invoices, and payment reminders to clients.\nAssist with the resolution of billing discrepancies and customer inquiries related to accounts receivable.\nPrepare weekly and monthly reports on outstanding debts and collections progress.\nCollaborate with the sales team to ensure clear communication regarding customer accounts.\nAssist in month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.\nRequirements\nProven experience in debt collection or accounts receivable management.\nStrong numerical proficiency and attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.\nProficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.\nRelevant diploma or certification in accounting or finance.\nFamiliarity with credit control principles and practices.\nExperience in using ERP systems for financial management.\nKnowledge of relevant legislation and compliance issues related to debtor management.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
